Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. When Mario first arrives in the Metro Kingdom, what weather will he be facing?

Answer: Rainy

Coming from the Lost Kingdom, a detour to say the least, Mario will finally arrive at the massive Metro Kingdom and New Donk City, a metropolis of massive skyscrapers and construction projects. The issue is that he picked a somewhat bad time to visit; the place will be shrouded by nighttime and the rain will be coming down in buckets.

In talking to the mayor, he'll find that things have been bad ever since Bowser flew through to advertise his wedding. Now, something has taken roost at the top of New Donk City Hall in an effort to drain the city's power, and the Broodal Airship is right above it.
2. Which of these will Mario need to capture to fight Mechawiggler?

Answer: Sherm

Once Mario ascends New Donk City Hall he'll be able to fight Mechawiggler back on the ground and, from the outset, the fight won't be very fair, especially since Mario will have no way of damaging the hard, outer shell of the creature on his own. Instead, Mario needs to use Cappy to capture one of the Sherm tanks waiting at street level, firing on the boss with cannon fire to do anything in the way of damage. All the while, Mechawiggler will move around on the sides of buildings and across the ground, firing balls of energy at Mario. Shooting the boss enough will bring it down once and for all and bring a sunny day back to Metro Kingdom.
3. The street names in New Donk City are inspired by characters in what classic game series?

Answer: Donkey Kong

Nintendo fans will likely waste no time in spotting the street signs on each corner in New Donk City to draw the conclusion that the setting is inherently tied to the "Donkey Kong" series, especially since they feature names like Rambi Street, K. Rool Avenue, Squawks Park, and Dixie Street. If you look closely at a number of establishments and billboards throughout the skyline, you'll also notice familiar faces and businesses, all referencing the games of series past.
4. What is the name of New Donk City's mayor?

Answer: Pauline

Another notable throwback to the days of classic "Donkey Kong", Pauline appears to have taken on a position of leadership in Metro Kingdom and will task Mario with a handful of missions throughout his time in her city. Appearing near the Odyssey's landing point on first visit (so that she can get a good view of Mechawiggler), she'll end up returning to New Donk City Hall after you defeat the boss as it's on her to help get a festival underway in the city.
5. The Mayor will ask Mario to locate members of a band for the upcoming festival. How many must be located?

Answer: Four

Once New Donk City finally comes back to a sunny day, Mario can meet with Mayor Pauline in front of New Donk City Hall for a task. Here, she'll indicate that the city is preparing for an important festival, and with that, she'll need him to search the city for four members of a local band that can perform a musical number in the New Donk City Hall Auditorium.

The drummer is right next to this conversation, but Mario can also find a trumpeter atop a nearby building, the guitarist in Squawks Park, and a bassist in Mayor Pauline Commemorative park. Each one will hand over a Power Moon.
6. To supply more power to New Donk City, Mario needs to travel where?

Answer: Underground

With music acquired, the final step towards festival readiness, as Mayor Pauline will suggest, involves providing ample power to the city's infrastructure, and to do that, Mario will need to head into the sewers beneath the streets. Using Cappy to pull back a massive manhole, Mario will have to navigate the sewer dungeon and fight off two massive Piranha Plants guarding the power supply. Once he kicks it into high gear, the city will use a cache of Power Moons to turn on the lights! Party time!
7. The final Multi-Moon in Metro Kingdom will be under a mission by what name?

Answer: A Traditional Festival

Once the city is save, the band is brought back together, and the power is cranked up, Mario will be introduced to the New Donk City Festival in the 'A Traditional Festival' mission, and this will start with Mayor Pauline taking the stage to perform a song for background music at the top of New Donk City Hall.

In the meantime, Mario will go 8-bit to celebrate, heading into the pipes and performative billboards of the event to recreate the story of the city's origins. All of this culminates in a battle against an 8-bit Donkey Kong and the reward of a Multi-Moon, closing out the scope of work for Mario's time in the Metro Kingdom.
8. At the park next to the Main Street Entrance, Mario can partake in what activity that features a worldwide Rankings Board?

Answer: Jump Rope

Once Mario stops Mechawiggler from making the city a worse place, he'll be able to visit the bustling Squawks Park near the starting point of the Kingdom to find two girls playing jump rope. All Mario needs to do is hop in and jump without hitting the rope which, if you can keep the beat, shouldn't be too hard to do. That said, it does require immense attention if you want to hit the leaderboard situated right next to the activity. Mario can obtain two Power Moons here-- one for thirty jumps and another for a hundred.
9. There is a gentleman on Main Street who Mario can capture with Cappy. Doing this will allow him to control which of these?

Answer: RC car

Across the street from Squawks Park and the Crazy Cap Shop, Mario can find a gentleman attempting to maneuver a remote controlled car through a small course, and a quick glance over should make it apparent that getting through will allow access to a Power Moon. To get it, Mario has to use Cappy to take control of the man and in turn control the RC car, using its awkward handling to drive it around the bends and into the cage with the reward.

In a nearby building, he can attempt another RC car challenge as well.
10. The Crazy Cap Flagship Store is in New Donk City. It contains how many floors?

Answer: One

Although this particular Crazy Cap Store, found at the start of Main Street, appears to be a massive building, it might simply be that the upper levels of this skyscraper are corporate offices. Mario will only ever visit the lobby level in which he will find a more expansive space for the Crazy Cap vendors, but nothing out of the ordinary.

There are one hundred Regional Coins (shaped like coins!) in Metro Kingdom. Additionally, Mario can purchase the Black Fedora and Black Suit for regular coins if he's visiting for the first time.
