Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In which Kingdom can you fight more than one Broodal?

Answer: Bowser's Kingdom

Although all of them appear throughout the game, often together, until Bowser's kingdom you'll only face the Broodals-- Topper, Hariet, Rango, and Spewart-- one at a time, taking on their unique powers without the others running interference. And that seems to be their tendency throughout the game, even if you have to fight two of them, individually (specifically Hariet and Topper) in Bowser's Kingdom. You'll also have to face all four in their RoboBrood mech at the end of the same Kingdom.

All of these bosses reappear in the post-finish world known as 'Dark Side' (ie. The Dark Side of the Moon).
2. Madame Broode, found in the Cascade Kingdom, uses which of these in battle?

Answer: Chain Chomp

Waiting at the top of Fossil Falls Heights, Madame Broode appears to be the manager of the Broodal gang, and with this in mind it's clear that those foes have outgrown their keeper. A seemingly well-to-do boss, Broode will hold the first Multi-Moon of the game and she'll try to protect it with her golden Chain Chomp. Using Cappy to transform into the Chain Chomp and use her own pet against her is the way to end this fight and, likely, power up the Odyssey for the first time.
3. Knucklotec is the reason that the Sand Kingdom is...what?

Answer: Cold

When Mario arrives in the Sand Kingdom for the first time he'll find that the place-- a massive desert-- is uncharacteristically cold. In addition to massive ice blocks having already caused havoc, Mario can be seen shivering as he navigates the dunes. What he'll need to do is ascend into the Inverted Pyramid, defeat the Broodal on top, slide into the hole beneath the pyramid, and visit the deepest depths of the desert to fight Knucklotec, the keeper of the Binding Band, who will end up acting out the ol' schoolyard mantra of "stop hitting yourself!". You need to use Cappy to commandeer Knucklotec's hands, then blast him at his face three times to rid the Kingdom of the cold weather and claim a Multi-Moon.
4. The only way to defeat Torkdrift is by capturing which of these using Cappy's powers

Answer: Uproot

Found in the Secret Flower Garden, Torkdrift is a massive, spiky robot designed to vacuum up all the flowers in the Wooded Kingdom, and Mario's intrusion will spark a battle against it. In this, Mario's only resource will be an Uproot, which he'll need to capture with Cappy and proceed to attack with from underneath.

It's not as easy as just waiting to strike though since Torkdrift has three satellite shield generators. Hitting each of these in every round of battle is necessity, otherwise you'll never get a shot at fighting the boss and doing damage.
5. Where in Metro Kingdom can Mario find Mechawiggler?

Answer: Atop New Donk City Hall

When Mario arrives in New Donk City (Metro Kingdom) for the first time, it'll be nighttime and stormy, and it'll become very clear that the issue taking place involves the massive creature resting atop New Donk City Hall's spire, right beneath the Broodals' airship. Once Mario gets up there, it'll trigger a battle in which he has to fall to street level, capture a Sherm, and fire at will on any vulnerable segments of the creature while it climbs around the building facades. Once Mario blasts at the creature enough he'll get a Multi-Moon and the Metro Kingdom will have a sunny day. All the better to be a tourist in.
6. The fight against Mollusque-Lanceur takes place on top of the Glass Tower in the Seaside Kingdom.

Answer: False

Though Mollusque-Lanceur is the boss that Mario will encounter and need to defeat for the sole mission of Seaside Kingdom ('The Glass is Half Empty!'), and while he does sit atop the Glass Tower drinking all of the region's Sparkle Water, opening the seals throughout the Kingdom will lead to a fight on the water instead, forcing Mario to rush around instead of battle on a single platform. To accomplish this, Mario will have to capture a Gushen and zoom around the water, using its powers to first rid the boss' head of lava, then damage it from above (with more water or a ground pound).
7. Cookatiel is found atop Mount Volbano in the Luncheon Kingdom. It protects which of these?

Answer: Stupendous Stew

Cooked atop the volcanic crater of Mount Volbano, the Stupendous Stew is what the Broodals are in the Luncheon Kingdom to acquire, and it should be no surprise that Mario has to ascend the peak to get it. It's a task he undergoes twice, and at the end of the second attempt he'll fight Cookatiel, who guards the pot, while in the form of a captured Lava Bubble. Using Cookatiel's own vomit against him, Mario has to travel up the stream of stew to get close enough to jump on the boss' head, all the while maneuvering to avoid painful obstacles.
8. Mario can go fight the Ruined Dragon of the Ruined Kingdom, but only after he does which of these actions?

Answer: Pulls a sword out of the ground

Bowser, in one last-ditch effort before Mario makes it to Bowser's Kingdom, will use a massive dragon to keep him at bay, sending him careening into the Ruined Kingdom. It will result in a quick visit there, mainly to fight the Ruined Dragon and repair the Odyssey, but to get to the fight, Mario has to use Cappy to pull a sword out of the ground, reveal a Power Line, and jet over to the battle arena.

In this battle, Mario has to wait until the dragon lowers its head and lets out its waves of electricity, then reveal a weak spot that can be ground pounded.
9. RoboBrood is found at the end of Bowser's Kingdom. Who pilots this device?

Answer: The Broodals

Although one would believe Bowser's Kingdom (and Bowser's Castle) would be the ideal place to fight the big boss himself, this near-to-the-end Kingdom is the last stand for the Broodals instead as they give the last buffer for Bowser to head off to his wedding on the moon.

In this instance, the Broodals will slot themselves into a giant mech and hurl bombs at Mario in a vast battle arena, and using a Pokio, he can shoot the bombs back, gain purchase on the outside of the mech, and climb up to damage the Broodals' cockpits. Once all four are out, the battle ends.
10. Bowser is fought a couple times in this game, but in both cases, Mario needs to use Bowser's hat to do which of these?

Answer: Punch harder

In both the Cloud Kingdom and the Moon Kingdom, Bowser will be wearing a massive, white hat with punching glove arms, and it's with this accessory that he'll be able to fight back against Mario with full power. The way to win both fights is by using Cappy to knock out and acquire said hat, don it, and then come at Bowser with all the punch power he can without taking too much damage himself.

In the final battle, going through these motions three times will end the fight, but it won't end there.

Instead, Mario will have to take on the weirdest capture of all, inhabiting Bowser's body to save himself and Peach.
