Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The Hellfire flamethrower is a huge device where players are encouraged to spray and prey. According to the game's lore, who assembled the Hellfire?

Answer: Nikolai Belinski

The lore clarifies that the Hellfire was designed with "Russian know-how", clearly pinpointing Nikolai, the game's only Russian character, as it's creator. As if this wasn't indicative enough, the game also tells the player the Hellfire was meant to "incinerate Hellpigs", and Nikolai alone famously labels zombies as "Hellpigs".
2. Group 935 designed the original version of the Overkill, but who adopted it and applied enhancements?

Answer: Tank Dempsey

The original version of the Overkill, the Death Machine, was designed by Group 935 but funnily enough saw its debut on Five, an American themed map. As such, while you do have to squint to see just how the technologically averse Dempsey pulled it off, it is feasible that he would get to rightfully claim ownership of the Overkill.
3. This Specialist weapon, a melee weapon, was actually available in "Black Ops 3" off the wall of the Revelations map. What is the name of Takeo Masaki's bladed weapon?

Answer: Path of Sorrows

In Revelations, this was a pretty strong, extremely cheap wall weapon which was great for farming points and killing zombies alike. In this game, it deals infinite damage, so it's a poor farmer, but naturally a fantastic slaughterer.
4. The Ragnarok-DG4 appeared in "Black Ops 3", but in this game, we get the DG-5. The next edition model of electrical induced destruction! According to the game's lore, who is responsible for pushing the Ragnarok into the DG-5 model?

Answer: Edward Richtofen

Specifically, the lore clarifies that it takes place in Richtofen's Laboratory, which is actually a playable part of the Blood of the Dead map. Sadly, when traversing this part of the map, there is no obvious or tangible signs of Richtofen having recently performed the upgrade to DG-5. That could mean that the enhancements done to the DG-5 took place well before the events of this game, but somehow well after the events of "Black Ops 3".
5. The Viper & Dragon are a paired weapon combo of a long, green sword (Viper) and a huge, explosive boomstick spewing volatile, explosive magma (Dragon). They were also apparently used to help one of the Chaos Crew as they navigated the Mexican Revolution. Who wielded the V&D before the events of this game?

Answer: Diego Necalli

On occasion, if pulling out the Viper & Dragon while playing as Diego on either Voyage of Despair or IX, he might talk about how he wielded these weapons during the Mexican Revolution. Additionally, if playing as Diego while a friend plays as Bruno Delacroix, and the two are close while Diego talks about it, Bruno will make an underhanded remark on how Diego needed distance from his foes in order to kill them.
6. The only Specialist Weapon in the entire game to actually be seen in a cinematic, which weapon does the Rhodes Manor secretly house?

Answer: Scepter of Ra

Although Scarlett never actually comments in-game on the Scepter of Ra, she does briefly wield it during the end cinematic of Dead of the Night and Voyage of Despair.
7. Bruno Delacroix does not actually 'own' any Specialist Weapon, but he does very explicitly comment on which of his are his favorite. What is Bruno's favorite Specialist Weapon?

Answer: Hammer of Valhalla

In general, Bruno has a preference for fighting his enemies up close, which makes his claim to the Hammer of Valhalla make sense as it is the only of the four Chaos Specialist Weapons to be melee focused. When using the other three, Bruno's dialogue in doing so will seem to experience some type of discomfort as he attempts to use them.

This does not actually impact gameplay, so Bruno will not perform better or worse than anyone else with these weapons.
8. Stanton Shaw is an old man, so he does not like to exert himself more than he absolutely has to. As such, what is Shaw's expressed favorite Specialist Weapon?

Answer: Chakrams of Vengeance

Unlike Bruno, who debatably does not seem to enjoy the other three apart from his preference, Shaw clearly enjoys the other three, but seems to enjoy the Chakrams of Vengeance far, far more. On IX, he will comment that the reason for this is that the Chakrams allow him to remain still to take a breather if need be - their Lacerating Whirlwind power does indeed do this, spawning a tornado atop the user that kills any zombies stepping into it.
9. If you're playing on an Aether map and a friend takes a down, you'll need to scurry over them quickly to pick them up. You might also like to use your Specialist, and you'll probably be able to wield it to make the duty easier. You might not be so fortunate, though. In the Aether selection, what is the only Specialist Weapon that cannot directly aid with reviving a teammate in some way?

Answer: Hellfire

Path of Sorrows can grant the user Zombie Blood, letting them freely revive their teammate while nearby zombies meander about pointlessly.

Ragnarok DG-5 actually has a built in revive within its Power Plant ability, and the revive even restores lost perks to downed allies that it revives.

Overkill can spawn a Nuke powerup, killing all nearby zombies and making a revive easy.

Hellfire, unfortunately, does not have a mechanic tied to it that makes reviving a friend an easy task. It can kill zombies efficiently, but players are on a limited timer to revive friends, and sometimes being merely "efficient" may not be enough. This is one of several reasons why the Hellfire sadly sucks, and should never, ever be chosen over the other three choices if the player is trying to optimize themselves.
10. In terms of Chaos Specialist selections, one of them functions as a straight up laser that revives allies, even restoring lost perks in the process. What Chaos Specialist Weapon does this?

Answer: Scepter of Ra

Right from level 1, the Scepter of Ra is the ultimate healing tool. At level 3, it can be planted into the ground to spawn a Ray of Life bubble, damaging enemies and simultaneously healing and reviving allies.
