Answer: Killing too many of them will result in a failed mission

There are two unwritten 'rules' the player is bound by with civilians in this mission. If the player kills three civilians in rapid succession, or six civilians in general throughout the mission, they will immediately fail the mission. The game will display one of two messages upon doing so: "Friendly Fire will not be tolerated!" or "Watch your fire! Collateral damage will not be tolerated!"

The player is not punished if civilians die from the actions of either enemies, AI controlled allies, or if civilians die incidentally. The only 'rule' is that civilian death cannot occur because of the player themselves. There is no incentive or reason to actively protect them. They function mostly as obstacles, briefly preventing the player from using weapons or firing in certain areas.

Answer: Victor Reznov

Mason had come to the conclusion that Reznov was either captured or, worse yet, killed trying to escape Vorkuta. As such, seeing Reznov comes as a complete shock to him.

Answer: Hue City, Vietnam

This is the last time the player will directly be in Vietnam for the remainder of the campaign. Towards the end of the mission, an angry man, presumably a leader, of Vietnam's ZSU will threaten the Americans with death. This results in a high tension extract sequence to end the mission off.

Answer: Dragon's Breath

The other three attachments are either not possible to put on any shotgun at all (M203, Speed Reloader) or would be highly impractical for a shotgun (IR scope).

Dragon's Breath involves incendiary slugs. The SPAS-12 with this attachment is egregiously overpowered in campaign. Due to the incendiary shells catching enemies on fire, the player only has to barely graze them with a single shot for a guaranteed kill.

In Zombies, this attachment is available as a result of Pack-a-Punching the SPAS-12. It also makes the shotgun fully automatic. Dragon's Breath doesn't one shot the same way it does in campaign, but it's fairly powerful in general.

Answer: RPK

The RPK is used by most Vietnamese enemies in this mission, so it can be acquired pretty easily. In addition, enemies can be seen wielding the FN FAL or Makarov. Enemies will also occasionally wield regular SPAS-12s, but since the player's version has Dragon Breath, there is no reason to exchange it for any of the other SPAS-12s.

Answer: Kill ten enemies with it

Fitfully titled "The Dragon Within", killing ten enemies with the special SPAS-12 is all it takes. There are by far more than ten enemies to kill in the mission, so most players will probably earn this one by simply playing the game normally and making it to the end.

Answer: Twenty

Like "The Dragon Within", this is simply killing a small portion of a gigantic amount of enemies. Players are probably going to earn this one by simply playing the game normally. To help, the game even highlights enemies with a big red box while in the chopper.

Answer: 20 years old

The game is set in 1960, and Bowman's dossier reveals that he was born in 1940. The dossier also shows that he has a history with asthma and, combined with his short stature and lightweight, made his ascendance in the US military astonishing. He graduated from boot camp at a staggering 17 years of age and is highlighted as an expert in demolition techniques.

Answer: No

In actuality, down the road, it would be revealed that Reznov was never actually, truly there as Mason described it. Reznov was, as Mason had initially correctly assumed, either captured or killed trying to escape Vorkuta.

The reason Reznov seems to appear is that, unbeknownst to him, Mason had been thoroughly brainwashed and essentially 'programmed' by the Soviets. Part of said programming was seeing a "tangible" figure like Reznov, who would guide Mason into eventually killing President JFK in the US. It would later be revealed that, somehow, the real, actual Viktor Reznov was able to manipulate the brainwashing to instead guide Mason away from JFK.

However, Reznov was never "really" the defector. It is unknown who the true defector was, but it was not Reznov. The Interrogator knows this for a fact, and calls Mason out for it.

Answer: Roughly five thousand

The intel specifically states "Confirmation of mass civilian killings during the NVA occupation of Hue City (31 Jan-24 Feb 1958) during the 1st Offensive".

Intel goes on to state that the NVA had neglected to consider collateral damage. It doesn't clarify if the NVA was intentionally killing civilians, but that they recklessly ran strafe bombings and attacked areas condensed with people in them.
