Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Grace will encounter 'The Girl' several times in her adventure. She'll ultimately defeat her in which spot?

Answer: Water Treatment Plant

One of the major early figures you'll encounter who needs a lot of extra handling is the creation known only as 'The Girl', a lurching, overlarge figure who stalks through the darker halls of the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center. Grace faces this creature down as soon as she starts to make her escape, finding that it's not all too thrilled with any rooms drowned in light.

The creature returns on a recurring basis, showing up again, later, to kidnap Emily when Grace frees her from her cell and then once more at the nearby Water Treatment Plant where Emily can finally bring her down once and for all.
2. How many zombies in Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center have the ability to damage through screaming?

Answer: Two

And both of these foes are found in very different parts of the facility, consequently getting trapped in their respective wings when Victor Gideo calls the Code 6 into action and dooms the staff and patients to their fates. The names of these rarer zombies can be found in files scattered through the building; Selena Corey is in the lounge in the West Wing, flanked by a few fellow zombies when you emerge from the kitchenette, while Eileen Zimmerson is found deep in the office next to the East Wing conference room. Both zombies bear a piercing scream attack that's capable of alerting other foes, shattering glass, and affecting Grace/Leon's minds for a brief moment.
3. The Zombie Chef, found in the Care Center's West Wing, holds a key to what room?

Answer: Pantry

The Zombie Chef is initially found in the West Wing kitchen in Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center and he presents an opportunity for Grace to play sneaky and maneuver her way through to the dark, adjacent hallway that leads to the dining room. The catch is that later walks through the West Wing will place the Chef into the outlying hallways and stairwells, so you'll eventually find him in more and more perilous situations. You can defeat him as either Grace or Leon; the former can finish it quickly with a Hemolytic Injector.

The Chef will drop the Pantry Key, for use on the door in the kitchen, granting access to a number of useful items.
4. It takes how many Hemolytic Injectors for Grace to defeat Chunk?

Answer: Three

Chunk will appear to Grace in the East Wing when she heads down an otherwise innocuous hallway to pick up her first ID Wristband, and he'll probably continue to bother her for much of her time in Rhodes Hill. This massive creature will barge through the corridors, destroying everything in its path, but careful (and rushed) maneuvering can put Grace into some safe havens. Though it will eventually die from enough firepower, the most reliable way of killing Chunk is with three Hemolytic Injectors. It's a steep price, but it'll solve the problem.

Leon also faces a Chunk in the attic of the Care Center, doing so with only his weaponry. Fortunately, he already carries enough firepower, with a new Shotgun, to do the trick.
5. If you don't use a Hemolytic Injector on a zombie, it's likely to become which of these evolved forms?

Answer: Blister Head

Way back in the Spencer Mansion in the original "Resident Evil", Jill and Chris had this problem in spades-- felled zombies didn't stay (un)dead forever. Instead, if left, some zombies could rise up as Crimson Heads, further-mutated bioweapons with heightened capabilities and more rage. In "Requiem", the same sort of t-Virus mutation happens to create Blister Heads. These foes lash out much more aggressively than normal zombie counterparts and take more hits to kill. Your best course of action is to open fire on the fleshy, new head that's come into its place. Of course, sneaking up behind with a Hemolytic Injector will help too.

The only ways to prevent most zombies from becoming a Blister Head would be by either blowing them up with the Hemolytic Injector (and you can do this when they're on the ground as well) or by destroying their head completely.
6. Blister Borne can not be damaged by explosives.

Answer: False

The Blister Borne can be damaged by pretty much any firepower or explosives, and it wouldn't be a bad idea to leverage environmental hazards as well, because it's a hardy foe in its handful of appearances. The first of these you encounter will be in the Rhodes Hill Chapel, and when you fight it in such close quarters, you'll realize the danger you face.

This creature has a number of clear and obvious blisters on its body (they'll be yellow), and while these are weak points, they're also dangerous because bursting them will cause a mist to spread from around the central foe, transforming felled zombies into Blister Heads by proliferating the mutation.

In effect, tough battles go from bad to worse.
7. The Titan Spinner will attack Leon as soon as he steps into the streets of East Raccoon City. What is this creature?

Answer: Spider

A bit of a nostalgia hit for anyone who passed through either the Spencer Mansion guest house (in "Resident Evil") or the Raccoon City power yard (in "Resident Evil 3"), the Titan Spinner is the arachnophobe's nightmare. A colossal spider, this foe will pursue Leon through a cobweb-filled house (also swarming with smaller, yet still-large spiders) before engaging in a boss battle to the death further up the building. Once the Titan Spinner is hurt enough, it and Leon will plunge through the floors and into the subway tunnels below where Leon will deal the final blow with his hatchet. An awful welcome back to Raccoon City to say the least.
8. The only time Leon encounters Garmr is when he's doing which of these activities?

Answer: Riding a motorcycle

To get from East Raccoon City to the center of town, Leon has to cover about fifteen miles of distance from the BSAA base camp to his destination, and that means hopping onto a co-opted motorcycle and flooring it through rough terrain. The ride won't be smooth under any circumstances.

In addition to Victor Gideon making an appearance with a rocket launcher, Leon has to use his submachine gun to fire at the next evolution of the classic Cerberus monster-- a t-Virus-evolved form of an infected dog-- only now they're bigger and faster.
9. Is there a way to kill the infected children encountered in the Raccoon City Orphanage?

Answer: No

Encountered solely in a flashback sequence that triggers when Leon reaches the East Wing of the Raccoon Police Department building, the infected children seemed to awaken or activate on one fateful night many years before the city was destroyed. Possessing red, glowing eyes and the ability to heal from any wound almost instantly, it turned out that the only way to win against them was to run.

Much of this segment, completed from the point of view of a young girl named Chloe, involves running, hiding, and surviving until getting caught by scientists in the ARK lab.
10. The weak point of the T-501 (Mr. X) is which of the following?

Answer: Heart

Leon will find himself face-to-face against this blast from the past foe in the RPD building and, naturally, it'll mean needing to race away from the almost unstoppable wall of dangerous force and out of the building because, just like in Mr. X's first appearance in Raccoon City in "Resident Evil 2", there's a certain invulnerability built in.

The escape will be short-lived. Leon will eventually have to fight this boss one-on-one outside, leading to a battle in which Leon will need to use his Hatchet to destroy the creature's heart, evidently its weak spot, to bring it down after decades.
11. Which of these guards the entrance to the ARK facility?

Answer: A giant plant

Plant 42 thrived in the guest house of the Spencer Mansion in the original "Resident Evil" and was killed by a Herbicide compound called V-Jolt (or you could just shoot it a lot). What Leon encounters in the ravine leading to the ARK lab is Plant 43, a much larger t-Virus-infected plant whose tendrils are much further reaching. You'll need to pass through a bit of a gauntlet to get to the actual boss fight in which the plant will use its main bulb and two tendrils to attack.

The best thing to do here is to shoot the main 'face' and keep moving, waiting for the opportunity to shoot some explosive barrels and burn the thing up, leaving the path to ARK open in its remains.
12. The Commander of Umbrella's Security Forces, who Leon fights in the ARK labs, drops which of these as a reward?

Answer: Hatchet

A doorway before Leon reaches Grace, Zeno, and the room referred to as 'Pandora', he'll come face-to-face with the Commander of Umbrella's Security Forces who, cockily, will suggest that he can take care of Leon on his own in a mostly one-on-one, hand-to-hand fight (that has its share of dirty moves, undoubtedly).

It means that much of the battle will be fought hatchet against hatchet in a fight designed to make use of good parries and slashes. If Leon can beat this guy, the boss will drop the Mortal Edge, a hatchet that can be equipped instead of Leon's existing one.
13. Which of these is highly effective against the Licker variants found in the ARK laboratories?

Answer: Bottle of Acid

Leon has a middling track record when it comes to avoiding encountering Lickers at some point or another, and returning to Raccoon City-- especially its labs-- is the perfect opportunity to reunite with a classic, especially since a number of the t-Virus-transformed creations met thus far seem to lead towards an eventual evolved form.

In the ARK corridors and labs you'll find the Licker Beta-2 variant. Like other predecessors, they're highly reactive to sound, so being crouched and quiet will be to your advantage in your travels.

They also happen to be quite weak to Bottles of Acid, some of which can be found in the labs, but some of which can also be crafted when you find a recipe in one of the offices down below.
14. The battle against Victor Gideon at the end of the game comes in phases. During one such phase, he'll be empowered by which of these?

Answer: Electricity

If Grace releases Elpis, it will trigger the true final battle wherein Leon, cured of his t-Virus infection, will engage in a one-on-one battle against Victor Gideon, back from the (un)dead following their shootout on the highway to Raccoon City Center.

In the first half of this fight, he'll use his newly-formed tentacles to lash out against Leon in close combat, moving in for devastating (but parryable) swipes before taking advantage of the ARK's electrical currents, all exposed due to the destruction of the Pandora chamber.

After enough firepower, Victor will plummet off the battle platform...but that doesn't mean it's over yet.
15. In the last phase of the final battle, Victor Gideon will transform into a form that Leon remarks is similar to which past foe?

Answer: Nemesis

Just as with Jill Valentine's fight at the conclusion of "Resident Evil 3: Nemesis", the final boss (in this case Victor Gideon) grows rapidly to the point of taking up half the battle arena, becoming an almost amorphous creation with a devastating smash attack. To defeat Gideon, Leon needs to use as much firepower as possible to destroy the glowing, red pustules that emerge on the boss' head and body. The stronger the weapon, the better the choice, especially for the ones that appear en masse lower to the ground (which can go in one stacked grenade blast).

When the fight finally reaches its end, Leon will climb onto Gideon and use his hatchet to deal some last slashes and bring him down. It'll take a few shots from the Requiem to conclude the fight and the game.
