1. The Trojan War occurred between 1200-1100 BC. Who was the famous "hero" of this war, who had every part of his body invulnerable but his heel?

Answer: Achilles

According to "The Achilleid", Achilles had his body dipped in the river Styx by his mother, who grabbed him from the heel, thus impeding the heel from being dipped in the water. He was hit in the heel with an arrow, and died.
2. Around 480 BC, a battle between the Persians and the Greeks took place. What is its name?

Answer: The Battle of Thermopylae

The Persians had lost against the Greeks 10 years before, in Marathon. The Thermopylae was a small mountain pass, and although the Greek army had the situation "under control" at first, it is said that a Greek traitor showed the Persians a secret passage, in which they battled only 300 Spartan soldiers, this being considered a heroic act.

The Six-Day War happened a long time after, in 1967, when Israel fought the United Arab Republic, Jordan and Syria, but that is another story...

The Hundred Years War was actually a series of many battles happening between England and France from 1337 to 1453. The war started because a king couldn't be named. The war actually lasted 116 years.

The French Revolution happened from 1789 to 1799, and it was an uprising against King Louis XVI. This was a symbolic event in history, as human rights first come up as a declaration. The French invasion of Spain happened in 1808, commanded by Napoleon Bonaparte.

Answer: The War Between the States

The American Civil War occurred from 1861 to 1865 and it was a battle between the North and the South, who wanted different things. They particularly disagreed about the issue of slavery.
6. A major cause of this conflict was the assassination of Franz Ferdinand. Which war am I referring to?

Answer: World War I

In 1914, Archduke Franz Ferdinand, along with his wife Sophie, were murdered in Sarajevo, the reason for which Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia. Germany would later join Austria-Hungary, and Serbia would soon be joined by France, Russia and eventually the United States. The war ended with the Treaty of Versailles.
7. World War II was fought between two major powers. One was the Allied Powers. What was the other?

Answer: Axis Powers

The Axis Powers included Germany, Italy and Japan, which were the main belligerents. The Allied Powers included countries as the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Poland, the Soviet Union, and many others.

Answer: The Cold War

The Cold War lasted from 1947 to 1991, and involved the USSR and the United States. Some of the most remarkable happenings during this war are the Korean War and the Cuban Missile Crisis. The Berlin Wall is often pointed out as a symbol of this war.

Answer: Rosa Parks

Rosa Parks is well-known because she refused to move from a "white-only" spot. Eventually, things like the Montgomery Bus Boycott and other different uprisings would happen, so colored people could have the same rights as everyone else. All of the answers are names of activists in this movement; Simone was a black singer, Baker was another activist who worked with other leaders, like Martin Luther King Jr.
10. In October 2001, the United States started a war in which country?

Answer: Afghanistan

The war in Afghanistan was started in response to the September 11 attacks in the United States. It is important to make clear that this isn't a war against the country of Afghanistan, actually they support the United States, this is a war against the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda.
