6. El Salvador

The Republic of El Salvador borders Guatemala and Honduras. The nation is located on one of the most seismologically active regions in the world. El Salvador is the only Central American nation that does not have a Caribbean coastline.
7. Honduras

The Republic of Honduras borders El Salvador, Guatemala, and Nicaragua. The nation is rich in natural resources, which include gold, silver, iron, copper, and zinc.
8. Nicaragua

The Republic of Nicaragua borders Costa Rica and Honduras. Nicaragua is home to Lake Managua and Lake Nicaragua. Lake Nicaragua, also known as Cocibolca or Granada, is Central America's largest fresh water lake.
9. Costa Rica

The Republic of Costa Rica border Nicaragua and Panama. The name of the country means "rich coast" in Spanish. The nation gained its independence from Spain.
10. Panama

The Republic of Panama borders Costa Rica of Central America and Columbia of South America. The country is perhaps best known for its Panama Canal that links the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean.
