Answer: Michael learns to make masks.

Michael certainly has a fondness for masks. When we first see him, he is wearing a clown mask. He wears the clown mask when he kills Wesley. He gets the mask that has become his trademark from his sister's boyfriend, Steve. Steve brings the mask into the house as a surprise for Judith. Michael picks the mask off of Judith's floor and then kills Judith with a knife. Later on Michael is in the sanitarium and shows Dr. Loomis the masks he made. Dr. Loomis asks why Michael colored the mask black. Michael tells him it is his favorite color. Dr. Loomis proceeds to tell Michael that black is actually the lack of color. Michael is seen later on in his cell making a mask out of paper mache. He has a great many of his masks hanging on his cell walls. The night he escapes he is wearing an orange mask that he made. He gets back home to his childhood house and finds his old mask. Michael had it hidden under some floorboards along with the knife he killed his sister with.

The mask has not changed in it's design from the original "Halloween" to the new version. In an interesting note, the mask was originally a William Shatner mask that was modified. In one of the extras on the DVD, one person tells about how when the person modelling the mask came in, they knew this was the design to go with.

Answer: He says, "I need to get out of here".

Michael and Dr. Loomis sit outside in the gardens of the sanitarium. Dr. Loomis tells Michael he had to pull some strings to get Michael outside. He says it will be good for Michael to see a bit of greenery. Michael keeps saying, "I need to get out of here". Michael keeps saying this over and over. Dr. Loomis says that is not going to happen for along time. Michael then says, "Then I have nothing more to say". Michael is true to his word and does not speak another word again.

In the movie it is never really explained why Michael keeps saying that he needs to get over of there. In my opinion I think it is because Michael knows he is slipping into a dark place in his mind. I think he knows this is a place he can never return from. Rob Zombie has left a great room of room in the movie for speculation. This is truly one of my favorites. It is more like an extension to the original because it gives you answers to questions you may have had and throws in a lot of new information.

Answer: Jell-O

Michael and his mom sit at a table in the vacant cafeteria. Michael being isolated from other people is a common scenario throughout the movie. Michael takes a bite of his red Jell-O. Michael says, "Mommy is everyone at home alright?". Debra seems a little taken back by this question. She is quiet for a few seconds. She then replies, "Everything is fine at home." She intentionally said everything and not everyone. Michael takes another bite of his Jell-O. Debra stares at Michael with a sad look on her face. At this point she believes Michael does not know what he did. When he asks her the question he is most sincere. He is happy with her answer and immediately goes back to his Jell-O.

Jell-O is one of my all time favorite desserts. It has been around since 1897. The first flavors included lemon and raspberry. A very popular way to eat it is with fruit inside it. Jell-O comes in sugar free also which is great for those of us watching our calorie intake.

Answer: The Devil's Eyes, The Story of Michael Myers

In the beginning of the scene, we see an events board. The board announces that Dr. Loomis will be speaking that day. On the board is "The Devil's Eyes, The Story of Michael Myers". Samuel is inside the auditorium and is standing behind a podium. Behind Samuel is a blown up picture of Michael. Michael looks like a disturbed person in the picture. The picture indeed paints a scary portrait of Michael. Dr. Loomis talks about how Michael is made a psychopath by a perfect blend of internal and external forces. Samuel is the first person to recognize Michael for what he is. Samuel met Michael's mom at his school to discuss a psychiatric evaluation with her. He is too late as Michael commits his first murders on that very day.

Sam Loomis grows to care about Michael a great deal. On the day he is leaving, he tells Michael that he is his best friend. He tells Michael that their relationship has lasted longer then both his marriages. Malcolm McDowell plays the role of Loomis. He is a truly gifted actor. He is of course the star of "A Clockwork Orange". He also has appeared in one of my favorite movies "Tank Girl", with Lori Petty.

Michael, after an eleven month legal battle, has been sentenced to Smith Grove's Sanitarium. According to a news report his trial was the most expensive and lengthy trial in the state. Dr. Samuel Loomis has been his court appointed doctor. During their first session, Michael and Dr. Loomis sit in a vacant room.

At their table is Michael's orange juice and Dr. Loomis' coffee. Also there is a tape recorder sitting on the table. Dr. Loomis asks Michael to say something. Michael says, "Hi, I'm Michael Myers". Michael takes a drink of his orange juice. Michael asks Dr. Loomis if he can ask him a question.

In order to build a trusting and open relationship, Dr. Loomis tells Michael he can ask him anything he likes. Dr. Loomis laughs when he hears Michael's question. Michael says, "Why do you talk so funny?". Dr. Loomis proceeds to ask Michael questions about Halloween night.

He asks Michael if he remembers anything about that night and Michael says, "No". he asks Michael if he remembers getting a knife. Michael says, "No". Michael truly doesn't recall anything that occurred, as is evident with the talk he has with his mom.

Answer: Deborah

Michael and his mom sit at a table in the cafeteria. Michael shows her the mask he has made. Michael asks Deborah if she likes it. Deborah says she does and asks Michael when he made it. Michael tells his mom he made it the night before. Michael tells Deborah he likes it because it hides his ugliness. Deborah becomes very upset by this comment.

She tells Michael to take off the mask. She also tells him he is not ugly. She tells Michael she doesn't want to hear him say things like that anymore.

Answer: He calls him Mikey.

Ismael is mopping in front of Michael's cell. He walks up to the cell and looks in through the screen on the door. He says, "Hey Mikey". He tells Michael not to let the walls get to him. He then tells Michael that he knows about walls too. Ismael tells Mikey to live inside his head. He tells him the walls can't get in there. Michael shakes his head in understanding at Ismael's advice. Michael turns his head and is thinking about what Ismael said. Ismael tells him he has to get back to work. He says, "Take it easy Mikey". Michael from this point on seems to change. Ismael befriends Michael and starts to care for him. He cares for Michael for close to 20 years. On the night Michael escapes, Ismael tries to take Michael back to his room. Michael beats Ismael and kills him by throwing a television on his head.

Danny Trejo plays Ismael Cruz. He has worked for Rob Zombie before in "Devil's Rejects". He plays a bounty hunter in the movie. His character's name is Rondo. Danny has also appeared in all three "Spy Kids".

Michael, Deborah, and Dr. Loomis sit in the sanitarium's cafeteria. None of them talk to each other. Michael has been quiet for two weeks now. Michael's mom is getting ready to leave. She tells Michael she has something for him. She gives Michael a picture of him and Boo.

She kisses Michael good bye and Dr. Loomis walks her out. The doctor asks Nurse Wynn to come in and watch Michael. Nurse Wynn picks up the picture. She says, "Cute baby. She can't be related to you". She turns her back on Michael to read the newspaper. Michael picks up his dinner fork and goes to Nurse Wynn.

He stabs her in the neck with the fork. The alarms go off and some orderlies rush to the cafeteria. Deborah and Dr. Loomis follow behind the orderlies. Deborah sees what Michael has done and pulls the mask off his face. Michael becomes enraged and starts screaming at Deborah.

She falls back and starts to cry. This is the last time Michael sees his mom.

Deborah goes home after the incident with the nurse. She is extremely upset. She is lying on her couch covered in a blanket. She is watching old home movies of her family. The movies show happier times with her family. Some of the movies show Deborah with Michael before she has the baby. Deborah is crying heavily. She sits up on the couch and she has a gun. She continues to watch the movies. Deborah starts rocking herself back and forwards. She is crying harder now. We don't see Deborah kill herself, but we hear the gun go off. In the background, we hear Boo start to cry. After she dies Michael doesn't speak anymore. He is said, by Dr. Loomis, to have not spoken a word in 15 years.

Sheri Moon Zombie plays the role of Deborah Myers. I believe she did a great job with the role. You feel sorry for her while she was watching Michael turn from a loving boy to a monster. Sheri has appeared in both "The Devil's Rejects" and "House of 1000 Corpses". She plays crazed psychos in both of these films. It is nice to see her in a role as a caring individual. In my opinion, she really shone in the film. She and Daeg Faerch were the the highlights of the movie for me.

Answer: Dr. Koplenson

Dr. Loomis is asleep in bed when Koplenson calls him. He tells Sam that Michael has escaped. He tells Sam that it is a massacre at the hospital. Michael has killed most of the staff including Ismael. Sam tells Koplenson he will be right there. Dr. Loomis goes to Smith's Grove and talks to Koplenson and Morgan Walker, the hospital administrator. They try to blame Loomis but he says he warned them. He tells Koplenson all he had to do was play zoo keeper until the monkey died. He is of course referring to Michael. Loomis goes outside and they follow. Koplenson asks Loomis what he wants him to do. He tells them to get on the phone and call the authorities and tell them Michael is on the way. They say where is he headed. Loomis looks at them like they are idiots. He yells, "Haddonfield". Loomis then drives off in his car leaving Koplenson and Walker standing there.

Clint Howard plays the role of Dr. Koplenson. He is the brother of Ron Howard. Clint appears in most of his brother's films. He is somewhat of a cult icon because of his movie roles. Clint guest starred in one of my favorite television programs "Arrested Development". He plays a man trying to save a tree.
