The Narrator explained at the beginning; "I was 7 years old when I first heard him scream. It scared me then, and it scares me now."

The creature is referred to as "The Fouke Monster." The Narrator will tell you. "If you've driven from Shreveport to Texarcana, you've driven right through Fouke, even if you don't remember."

It has a couple of gas stations, a post office, school, garage, hotel and two cafes. Of course that was back in 1973.

After he fired a few shots at the creature, he believed the kid.

Mary Beth put her cat out and a few moments later she saw the creature in the yard and could hear the cat screaming. The Narrator went on to say; "It was found completely unmarked. It had just been scared to death."

The song was one of the corniest songs ever. It was done in the middle of the movie and pretty much brought any type of fear down with it. Travis was a teenager who hunted and trappped before and after school every day.

He and his wife were driving by the fields to see if they were too wet to plow and found the prints.
