Answer: 3.

Of the five, only Edward VII and his grandson Edward VIII, were expected to become the monarch from birth. George V had an elder brother Albert Victor who was supposed to become the King, however, he died of typhoid fever in 1892 without issue. Edward VIII the eldest child of George V was expected to succeed (which he did briefly in 1936) and produce children. Soon the pot was removed to a sideboard, the young girls protested that their mother had put it their and only she could remove.

The irate tutor eventually got so cross with their cries that he exclaimed 'It is either I or the pot,' Princess Victoria Melita or Ducky, grabbed the pot close to her chest and shouted 'we prefer the pot.' Dr. X with as much dignity as he could muster left the room, and the entire meal was then spent in icy silence, though the other girls were secretly delighted with their sisters courage.

Prince Edward the son of Elizabeth II and his wife Sophie have also used Bagshot as a home. Osbourne, was brought by Victoria and Albert as a retreat from London, but was hated by the future Edward VII, who turned it into a royal naval college when he became King.
