Answer: Jerry Robinson

Jerry Robinson, played by Peter Bonerz, was an orthodontist. His office was near Bob Hartley's. Orthodontics is the specialty of dentistry that straightens and moves teeth. Bonerz also directed 29 episodes of "The Bob Newhart Show" and was an adjunct faculty member at USC School of Cinematic Arts.

Bob Hartley (Bob Newhart) was a psychologist.
Howard Borden (Bill Dailey) was an airline pilot.
Elliot Carlin (Jack Riley) was one of Bob Hartley's patients.
2. In the TV show "Friends", what was the first name of the orthodontist character that Rachel Green leaves at the altar?

Answer: Barry

In the pilot of "Friends", Barry's last name was Finkle. In all other episodes, it was Farber. Barry is played by Mitchell Whitfield. Whitfield auditioned for the part of Ross Geller on "Friends".

Gunther was the manager at Central Perk and had a crush on Rachel. Gunther was played by James Michael Tyler and got the part because he was the only one who knew how to run an espresso machine.

Ross was a paleontologist and Rachel's on-again off-again love interest.

Joey was an actor. Rachel was Joey's roommate while she was pregnant with Emma.

At his mom's request, Steve had been being nice to David and including him with the "in" crowd only to find out at the end of the episode that David's father is a dentist. Matthew Laurence, who played Dr. Mel Silver, has an identical twin brother Mitchell.

Donna's father, Dr. John Martin, was a physician.
Dylan's father was suspected of illegal activities in season one and left town. Jim Walsh, father to Brandon and Brenda, was a corporate type and also served as Dylan's financial and business manager.

Yes, indeed, it is Tim Conway playing the dentist to Harvey Korman's patient in this classic comedy sketch. Conway often made his castmates laugh in the middle of sketches. This one is no exception. Harvey Korman cracks up several times during the sketch.

Lawrence was the only cast member to remain with Burnett through the entire run of the series.

Mark Spitz, who won 7 gold medals in Olympic Swimming, tried to parlay that into an acting or TV career, but after a few years, he faded from public view. He was interested in becoming a dentist, and was accepted to Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1972, but never attended.

Michael Buonocore invented white (composite resin) fillings in 1955. He passed away in 1981.
