What about a Termination of World Leaders? :-) Or a Confusion of World Leaders? Or maybe an Abomination of World Leaders? (... hang on a minute, I have to answer the door, a limo just pulled up and some men in black suits got out ...) Reply #144. Jun 19 13, 8:09 AM |

Just back from my regular Sunday jaunt to St. George's covered market in Belfast city centre - laden with fish and meat, Suki tea and pashmina scarves (not for me!). One of the teas I got is called 'Apple loves Mint', and as well as the obvious apple pieces and peppermint leaves it has papaya and rose buds! Smells great but'll probably taste lethal! :) I dunno what the three-piece group playing there today were called, but they kept telling everyone they were about to go on tour to Coventry and Wolverhampton!! I wish they'd started already! :( Reply #146. Jun 23 13, 7:48 AM |

Don't know if I will be better on international music than on crime, but it will *look* better if I am LOL dsimpy... seems like that's the same idea as going into a shop, and hearing 'music' being sent through a ceiling sound system. You like the shop, but could do without the sound effects :-p Reply #149. Jun 23 13, 6:25 PM |

There's different live music on there every week and sometimes it's amazing ... like Réalta two weeks ago, who were so good I bought their CD which I've been playing endlessly in my car stereo ever since! But this scrawny collection of old geezers were something else! I was sitting right next to the keyboard player having a coffee (me not him!), but despite that I couldn't refrain from the odd whispered aside to my daughter about how utterly woeful they were. :( Reply #150. Apparently Edward Snowden has applied - among applications to other states - for political asylum in Ireland. What do you think? Will Enda take this bold step in defiance of Barack and David Cameron, placing Ireland at the forefront of the world's independent non-aligned states? No? ... okay, you're probably right. ;-) Reply #154. Jul 02 13, 5:25 AM |

I'm off to the desolate offshore wilderness(!) of Arranmore island tomorrow, so I doubt I'll have much/any internet access for a few days and will (sadly!) be giving the VIP quiz a miss for a couple of days. Have fun y'all! :) Reply #158. Jul 11 13, 5:39 AM |
