... To anyone passing through ... Why not sign up to the Virtual Irish Pub Quiz! Your tournament host Chavs is offering a weekend for two in the Shelbourne for October's winner (that bit's not strictly true, but the winner's bragging rights are tremendous!). Click on this link (put it on your favourites bar if you're GM): http://www.funtrivia.com/private/main.cfm?tid=101321 Reply #264. Oct 02 13, 1:23 AM |

Well that's even better than a free weekend in the Shelbourne! :) Reply #266. Oct 02 13, 8:36 AM |

Actually, now that I think about it ... apart from my cringingly bad performance in yesterday's tournament ... I'm going to be on my hols this month for a fortnight (in the hopefully sunkissed shores of the Canaries), and the VIP Quiz won't be part of my drastically slimmed down Funtrivia routine while I'm away ... so toppling last month's champ won't be too hard! Maybe a free weekend in a caravan in Tallaght would be prize enough! ;-) Dáithí Reply #267. Oct 03 13, 5:02 AM |

Have fun with your canaries Mr. D. I'll drink your share of the Pubs alcoholic delicacies in your absence. Reply #270. Oct 03 13, 5:34 PM |

I'll drink your share of the Pubs alcoholic delicacies in your absence. ---------------- Talking of which, I'm leaving my housekey with the next door neighbour to keep an eye on things while I'm away, but I have rather a large collection of whiskeys - around 140 bottles - in the dining room. Hope she doesn't take a Morpheus-kind of notion! :-0 Reply #271. Oct 05 13, 4:07 AM |

You are leaving 140 bottles of whiskey virtually unguarded in Belfast? Daithi, you are a brave man. Reply #272. Oct 05 13, 12:01 PM |

I have friends who would guard them if asked. However I think they're safer left to chance! :) Reply #273. Oct 05 13, 3:11 PM |

I am available for whiskey and wine guarding duty. Do not forget that the odd bottle or two may slip through a time warp to another dimension. Reply #274. Oct 05 13, 3:37 PM |

140 bottles of whiskey? Good lord are you admiring them or drinking them? You would do well to have me look after them. I don't drink whiskey. I could throw a h$ll of a party with that much cheer. Reply #275. Oct 05 13, 5:50 PM |

In that case, keep up the good work. Do you drink Irish whiskey? I've had that in coffee with a dab of Baileys. Not too shabby. Reply #277. Oct 07 13, 12:26 PM |

I have Irish, Scottish, Welsh, American, Canadian, Australian, Swedish, and Indian whiskeys. Never mix them with anything though, except occasionally a splash of spring water. My eldest daughter sometimes has a drink of Jameson's Irish whiskey, but as she commits the crime of mixing it with coke I make her buy it herself! :) Reply #278. Oct 07 13, 2:12 PM |

Please! Put all if that whiskey under lock and key. dsimpy is in the Fantasy and needs clarity! {{Or, maybe that's why he's done so well... drink up!}} Reply #280. Oct 08 13, 7:00 PM |
