Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The first Road Block of this season had racers collecting flowers in which country?

Answer: The Netherlands

This season of the race sent thirteen teams to the Netherlands to kick off the competition, and the first Road Block came at the end of the first leg there. In the small town of Mijdrecht, racers had to locate and enter a massive greenhouse spanning six football fields of space and the selected teammate needed to collect enough flowers to fill a display box.

The catch was that the box needed to contain rows of nine different flowers with unique colours and shapes, and only when they matched the correct ones could they keep racing to the Pit Stop.
2. In Kutná Hora, Czech Republic in Leg 3, which team had control of the Driver's Seat leading into the first Road Block?

Answer: Natalie and Stephanie

After negotiating with their alliance frontrunners upon reaching the Kutná Hora Municipal Brewery, Natalie and Stephanie took control of the Driver's Seat, letting them determine how many crates of Czech beer racers would need to fill and package to receive their next clue. They were able to give one crate to two teams, two crates to five teams, and three crates to the remaining five teams.

Interestingly, the leg featured a second Road Block towards its end, and one racer had to complete an ice hockey challenge to get their final clue.
3. Team members had to direct horses in Hungary in the race's fourth leg, acting as which of these types of traditional riders?

Answer: Csikós

Arriving at Ludovika Huszár Lovarda in Budapest, racers needed to ride coach, literally, as they hopped into a horde-drawn carriage and took the reins on their Road Block. For this challenge, the participating racer was required to guide their horses around an indoor figure-eight course, doing so within the guidelines and in under forty-five seconds. If they could keep their horses under control they could get their next clue.

Natalie, Izzy, Simone, Jag, Joseph, Alex, Kristine, Jack, and Kyland were selected for this while neither Tucker nor Eric completed this task, having claimed the Fast Forward.
4. Racers had to create a karice when they visited Dubrovnik in Leg 5. What is a karice?

Answer: A cart

Teams completed tasks in and around the Old City of Dubrovnik throughout Leg 5 and the last task of the leg was a Road Block. At Ploce Gate at the entry to Fort Revelin, selected racers had to construct a rudimentary cart known as a karice with provided screws, washers, tools, and wood. If racers could make sense of the build, they could take their finished carts and race them down a steep street. Completing the course in thirty-six seconds or less would net them their last clue for the leg and point them to Fort Bokar and the Pit Stop.
5. In Ston, Croatia (in Leg 6), racers had to memorize facts found on which of these, all found throughout the village?

Answer: Shields

Reaching Park Komada in the town of Ston, racers completing the Road Block needed to use a relief map (or not) to locate three checked shields found throughout the nearby village streets. Reading these, they would garner nine different facts about Croatia, all with stats and figures they had to keep in mind to answer a three-question pop quiz back at the starting point. Teams didn't know, until it was later, that getting questions wrong meant needing to receive three new questions at random until they got them all right. Getting all of them meant getting a clue to the Pit Stop.
6. Which racer completed the tandem skydiving Road Block encountered in Romania in Leg 7?

Answer: Paige

Joseph, Tucker, Taylor, Jas, Paige, Chelsie, and Natalie completed this task when they woke up at Clinceni Airfield early in the morning to kick off their seventh leg in earnest, and half of the racers had the chance to start the day with a tandem skydive-- the highest in "Amazing Race" history as they dropped from four kilometres above rural Romania.

The rest of the leg would be no less stressful, but would feature all manner of physical labour and to-dos typical in the swamplands and countryside around Bucharest.
7. The person responsible for judging the Easter egg Road Block in Bucharest (in Leg 8) was dressed as which of these?

Answer: A chicken

Starting off the day in Bucharest, racers were greeted by tasks that took them throughout Romania's capital on a series of Expedia Experiences, and this began with a literal Easter egg hunt in the city's largest park-- Herastrau Park. Here, the selected racers had to locate an egg hidden in the dense green space and make sure it matched a giant egg waiting for them on display. If they got the proper match down to the finest detail, they could roll it across the park to a person waiting in a massive chicken costume and trade the matching pair for their next clue. Jas and Jag used their Express Pass here, bypassing the task to gun for the lead (which they won this leg, taking an Expedia trip as their reward).
8. In Leg 9, racers had to learn the letters of what alphabet for their Road Block task?

Answer: Greek

Racing around the heart of Europe's oldest capital, the six teams still in the running in Leg 9 were tasked with doing all manner of Greek things throughout Athens, and this ended off with locating the Road Block task at Dora Stratou Theatre. Here, one racer from each pair needed to learn the Greek alphabet, memorizing and reciting the twenty-four letters given their lower-case examples.

Jag, Joseph, Tucker, Paige, Chelsie, and Taylor completed this challenge.
9. Leg 10, held in and around Milan, Italy, featured two Road Blocks.

Answer: True

On a hot and difficult day in Italy, racers arrived in Milan and proceeded deeper into the Lombardy Region encountering two Road Blocks (and no Detours). For the first of these, racers drove into the heart of Milan and had to create dresses using nothing more than fresh flowers at Rotonda della Besana.

The second had racers proceeding to the City of Vigevano to complete a pair of Palio-themed challenges at the picturesque Visconti-Sforza Castle.
10. In Paris in the 11th leg, participating racers had to use a Braille typewriter to transcribe a poem by an author of which nationality?

Answer: American

Unbeknownst to the four remaining teams as they proceeded through Paris, their Road Block was held at the Institut National des Jeunes Aveugles, the first School for the Blind in the Western world. Here, one member of each team needed to learn how to operate a Perkins Braille typewriter to transcribe the poem "The New Colossus", written by American poet Emma Lazarus, which they could determine to be the poem inscribed on the inside of the Statue of Liberty, a key part of their next task and their final race leg. If they could transcribe the full poem with no errors, they could get their next clue and start a Scramble through Paris.
