Mr. Freeman rose from poverty to wealth and fame and has acted in numerous films. Among many of his most popular were, "Driving Miss Daisy" (1989), and the Oscar award winning film, "Million Dollar Baby" (2004) which was produced and starred Clint Eastwood. Because of his articulation and distinctive voice, he's certainly a frequent choice for use in narration of documentaries.

He was born in Biloxi, Mississippi on April 18, 1956. The family later moved to Atlanta, Georgia where Julia was born. Following his near-fatal, vehicle crash, Eric was comatose for three days, suffered a bruised brain, and severe facial trauma. Because of the scarring, his roles were then portrayed as the bad boy images in films.

He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1985, for portraying Buck, an escaped convict in, "Runaway Train" (1985). Family disagreements have distanced Eric and his famous sister from one another.

They haven't spoken to each other for quite some time. Emma Roberts is the daughter of Eric, and like her dad and aunt before her, she is also pursuing a career in the acting business.
