After much success in Australia, acting in such movies as "Mad Max", he started working in the US. A longtime Malibu resident, he has lost much of his Aussie accent.

Nicole Kidman's Aussie parents were in school in the US when she was born in 1967 in Honolulu, Hawaii. The family returned to Australia in 1971 when the future Oscar-winning actress was four. In 2024, she became the first Australian actor to receive the American Film Institue's Lifetime Achievement Award.

Bruce Lee was born in 1940 in San Francisco's Chinatown, while his father, a Chinese opera singer, was touring the United States. He went to Hong Kong when he was three months old. The future martial arts actor returned to the USA in 1959, where he eventually opened a martial arts school in Los Angeles. Chuck Norris was one of his students.

Actor Andrew Garfield was born in Los Angeles in 1983 to an English mother and an American father. The family moved to the London area when Garfield was three. Garfield received international fame for his portrayal of Spiderman in the film "The Amazing Spiderman" (2012). Although he has dual citizenship, he spends most of his time in England.

Sienna Miller's father is American, and her mother is South African. She was born in New York City in 1981 when her mother went into labor in a theater. The family moved to London when she was one. The model and actress is best known for her portrayal of actress Tippi Hedren in the 2012 film "The Girl".

Actor Christopher Lambert was born in Long Island, New York, in 1957. His father was a French diplomat at the United Nations. The family moved to Switzerland when Christopher was about three. The family moved to Paris when he was a teenager. He is best known for playing Tarzan in "Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes" (1984) and for starring in the "Highlander" film series.

Anthony Bourdain was born in New York City in 1956. He became a celebrity chef and author, and hosted several successful travelogue TV shows. He grew up in the New York area, but he was heavily influenced by his French heritage. In fact, the chef stated that his love for cooking began on a family vacation to France. He hosted several cooking, and travel shows from 2001 to 2018. Sadly, he committed suicide in France in 2018.

Actor Sidney Poitier was born in Miami Florida, two months early, while his parents were there on business. Because of his premature birth they stayed there three more months before the family returned to the Bahamas. He moved to the US as a teenager landing in New York City at sixteen. It was there he was introduced to the theater. Poitier became the first black and first Bahamian actor to win an Academy Award for his starring role in "The Lillies of the Field". He also won a BAFTA award and a Grammy.

Boris Johnson was Prime Minister of the UK from 2019 to 2022. He was born in New York City in 1964 to an economics student and artist. The family returned to the UK three months later. The family moved back to the US from 1966 to 1969, and they lived briefly in Belgium, but most of his childhood was in England. His father was away from the family for long periods and his mother suffered a nervous breakdown. Johnson was one of the leaders of the movement for Britain to leave the European Union.

Lucy Boynton was born in New York City to two English journalists in 1994. They returned to London when she was four. She made her acting debut as a young Beatrix Potter in the movie "Miss Potter" (2006). She has also appeared in the movies "Barbie" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" and the TV show "The Icpress Files", showcasing her skills in different types of genres. She divides her time between London and Los Angeles.

Rapper Drake was born in Canada; Elizabeth Taylor was born in London, England and inventor Alexander Graham Bell is a native of Scotland. Bruce Willis and Henry Kissinger were both born in Germany.
