However, these remains have been carbon dated to around at 3.3 million years ago - around 120,000 years older than "Lucy."

"Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" by the Beatles was blasting after the excavation of the remains at the camp, which is how "Lucy" got her new name. Her preserved remains are displaced in the National Museum of Ethiopia in Addis Ababa, as one of the most well preserved and complete set of hominid fossils known.

Ethiopia borders Kenya to the south, the border being around 530 miles long.

In 1905, Menelik II worked with a European banking group to establish the Bank of Abyssinia - Abyssinia being what Ethiopia was then named, after an Empress of the Holy Roman Empire. But in 1931, Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie bought and renovated the Bank of Abyssinia, renaming it the "National Bank of Ethiopia." Ethiopia was what the country was known as, for 1,600 years. He wanted both the bank of the country, and the country itself, to be recognised as "Ethiopia" as opposed to its exonym, "Abyssinia."
