Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was the first single released (in Britain) from the band's album "Blackened Sky"?

Answer: 27

"27" was released as a single in April 2001. "Justboy", "57", and "Joy.Discovery.Invention" were the second, third and fourth respectively.
2. What phrase is frequently chanted by Biffy fans at live shows?

Answer: "Mon the Biff"

If you shouted "Mon the Biff!" as you selected the correct answer, you are well on your way to becoming a true Biffy fan.
3. In which top ten (in the UK charts) Biffy Clyro song would you hear the lyrics: "I took a drink out of the ocean and I'm treading water right before I drown."

Answer: Mountains

"Mountains" reached number five in the UK charts in August 2008. "Many Of Horror" was number eight in January 2010, "Machines" was number twenty-nine in September 2007 and "Folding Stars" was number eighteen in July 2007.
4. Which Biffy song was written about the lead singer (Simon Neil's) mother after she died in 2004?

Answer: Folding Stars

The band had stated in August 2007 that they would no longer play this song live as it was too emotional. They have since returned it to some live set-lists.
5. Which music video depicts the band members as mental patients?

Answer: Glitter And Trauma

This video features the guitar riff apparently being played on a sweeping brush, and some marvelous percussion sounds from some cardboard boxes.
6. Which Biffy song from the album "Infinity Land" are these lyrics heard in? "No sense makes sense to me at all. But your expression says it all."

Answer: Some Kind Of Wizard

"Wizard" was incorrectly spelt as "Wixard" on the album sleeve.
7. After which of these songs is there a hidden track in the album "Infinity Land"?

Answer: Pause It And Turn It Up

About 18 minutes after the end of the track, there is a short poem by Simon Neil called "Tradition Feed."
8. In the "Live at Wembley" DVD, what is lowered on wires to surround Simon as he plays "Machines" acoustically?

Answer: Light bulbs

In track number fourteen on the live DVD, Simon walks into centre stage and performs this song solo, golden lights bulbs arranged around him. And might I add, it is a beautiful effect.
9. In the album "Blackened Sky", what is unique about the song "Joy.Discovery Invention"?

Answer: The only song in which the guitar is in standard tuning

The drummer, Ben Johnston provides backing vocals for many of the songs. "Justboy" also starts with the letter "J". The song "Justboy" mentions dark clouds.
10. And now a trickier question to end with. What was the name of the band's first EP?

Answer: Thekidswhopoptodaywillrocktomorrow

This first EP had the songs "57", "Hope For An Angel", "Justboy" and "Less The Product" in it.
