Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Robert's only wife and mother of his children was who?

Answer: Maureen Wilson

Maureen was of Asian-Indian extraction and exceptionally beautiful. They married in 1968 and were divorced in 1983. In the seventies there were lots of pictures of the happy couple on their farm, with their little daughter. I've kept them all and have them in a scrap book. Sad or what?
2. Robert's children were named what?

Answer: Carmen, Karac & Logan

Karac sadly died of an intestinal disease when he was only five. Robert Plant suffered a breakdown after this traumatic event. Carmen was married to Charlie Jones, Robert's bass player for solo tours.
3. Robert dedicated the song "All My Love" to one of his sons, after his untimely death?

Answer: True

"All My Love" is from the "In Through the Outdoor" album and was written for Karac, who tragically died.
4. In the seventies, Robert lived on a farm in which part of Worcestershire?

Answer: Kidderminster

I always remember reading in the NME in the seventies about Robert and Maureen walking through the high street in Kidderminster. Robert, 6ft 1ns with his mane of long blonde shaggy hair, wearing snakeskin boots, jeans and a green fringed jacket. Maureen, 5ft 2ns with her glorious long black hair. What a sight to behold!
5. In later years Robert had a few flings with some well known artists. There was an untruthful rumour going around that he had his third son with whom?

Answer: Alannah Myles

Alannah Myles toured with Robert in 1990. She came on stage in six inch stilettos, skin tight trousers and top. I've never seen so many guys in attendance for the support act! The other three lovely ladies were all old flames of Robert's at one time or another.
6. In 1975 Robert and his wife had a serious accident on which Greek island?

Answer: Rhodes

Maureen was badly injured and Robert shattered his ankle and his elbow. He was out of action for two years.
7. Robert had a nickname, what was it?

Answer: Percy

The name is after Percy Thrower who had a gardening show in the sixties and presumably came about because he lived on his farm.
8. When Robert lived on his farm, he kept goats and chickens. He had a dog; what kind was it?

Answer: Blue Merle Collie

The dog's name was Strider after Aragorn in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I've got some interesting pictures of Robert and Strider playing and mucking about. A Blue Merle is a variety of Rough Collie.
9. The track, "Thank You" has lyrics written by Robert, featuring a reference to "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy?

Answer: False

The track was "Ramble On".
"T'was in the darkest depths of Mordor
I met a girl so fair
But Gollum and the evil one
Crept up and slipped away with her".
"Thank You" was written for his wife Maureen.
10. On the "Plant & Page Unledded" DVD, an Asian woman sings with Robert on "Battle of Evermore". Who sang on the original track?

Answer: Sandy Denny

Sandy Denny was in the band Fairport Convention. Robert and Najma Akhtar who sang on the "Plant & Page Unledded" DVD were an item for two years.
