Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. From which song did the lyrics: "Now I know, I've seen that look, on your face before, when you realized, all the memories, walked right out the door..." appear?

Answer: You're Gonna Break My Heart Again

The song "You're Gonna Break My Heart Again" was from Whitesnake's self entitled 1987 album. The lineup for the album featured the vocal talents of David Coverdale, the guitar stylings of John Sykes, the drumming of Aynsley Dunbar, and the bass playing of Neil Murray.

Although the song was only released for the European version of the album, most 'best-of' compilations, for the band, feature the song on them.
2. On which Whitesnake song did David Coverdale sing: "Goin' down the only road, I've ever known, like a drifter I was born to walk alone."?

Answer: Here I Go Again

"Here I Go Again", was a hit song taken from Whitesnake's 1987 album, "Whitesnake". The song was arguably one of the biggest hits for the band. It hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in October of 1987. The music video was also a well received addition to the song, as it not only featured David Coverdale in his glory, but actress Tawny Kitaen.

She and Coverdale married in 1989, but divorced in 1991.
3. In which Whitesnake song did David Coverdale proclaim: "This must be love, cause it's really got a hold on me, a hold on me."?

Answer: Is This Love

"Is This Love", was a hit song taken from the band's 1987 album, "Whitesnake". The song was a ballad, of sorts, as it featured a mellow styling, both vocally and melodically. Like "Here I Go Again", the song was another big hit, for the band. The single peaked at number two in the US, and number nine in the UK.

As in the music video for "Here I Go Again", Coverdale's future wife, Tawny Kitaen, was a key character in the development of the video.
4. In which Whitesnake song were the lyrics: "Who knows where the cold wind blows, I asked my friends and nobody knows...who am I to believe in love", sung?

Answer: Love Ain't No Stranger

"Love Ain't No Stranger" was from Whitesnake's 1984 album, entitled "Slide It In". Its line-up featured David Coverdale on vocals, Mel Galley on guitars, Jon Lord on keyboards, Cozy Powell on drums, and Neil Murray on bass. The album from which the song came, had both a UK and US version, featuring different lead and bass guitarists. The names indicated were from the US release.
5. In which song did David Coverdale: "Hear the wolf howl, honey sniffing around your door"?

Answer: Still of the Night

"Still of the Night" was one of the three big hits released from Whitesnake's 1987 self-entitled album, the other two being, "Is This Love" and "Here I Go Again". "Still of the Night" hit number 79 in the Billboard Hot 100, and number 18 in the Mainstream Rock Tracks list, in 1987. The music video was the third that featured Dave's future wife, Tawny Kitaen.
6. In which Whitesnake song were the lyrics: "I can see what you're looking for, I know what you want from me, an' I'm gonna give you more" sung?

Answer: Slide It In

"Slide It In" was the band's feature song off of their 1984 album, entitled "Slide It In". The album from which the song came was the first released by the band in North America. The album did considerably well for a first release.
7. In which Whitesnake song were the lyrics, "A black cat moans, when he's burning with the fever, a stray dog howls, when he's lonely in the night" sung?

Answer: Crying In The Rain

"Crying In The Rain", was the first track on Whitesnake's 1987 album, "Whitesnake". Like their 1984 album, "Slide It In", the band featured both a US and a European release, for the world. There were extra songs in the European release and a different order of songs. "Crying In The Rain" was the first song from the American release but was the fifth song on the European edition.
8. In which Whitesnake song did David Coverdale sing: "If you don't, give it I'll steal it, I'll take it all and walk away"?

Answer: Sweet Lady Luck

"Sweet Lady Luck" was a lesser known song taken directly from Whitesnake's 1991 'best-of' album, entitled "Whitesnake's Greatest Hits". The compilation featured songs such as "Crying In The Rain", "Still of the Night", "Love Ain't No Stranger" and many more of their hit songs.
9. In which Whitesnake song did David Coverdale sing: "I feel the hunger like a starving man, honey, when you stand close to me."?

Answer: Hungry For Love

"Hungry For Love" was one of the band's better known songs off of their 1984 album, "Slide It In". It featured David Coverdale with his melodic vocals, pouring his heart out for the emotional atmosphere of the song. It was a mix between a ballad, at some points, and the band's usual moody hard rock.
10. In which Whitesnake song were the lyrics: "I was born under a bad sign, left out in the cold, I'm a lonely man who knows, just what it means, to lose control" sung?

Answer: Fool For Your Loving

"Fool For Your Loving" was a hit song taken from Whitesnake's 1989 album, "Slip of the Tongue". It featured the familiar vocals of David Coverdale, backed up with the lead guitars of the legendary Steve Vai, the bass of Rudy Sarzo, and the drumming of Tommy Aldridge.

Although a success financially, it wasn't as profitable as their 1987 album had been. The feature that was most remembered, from the album, was the inclusion of Steve Vai on guitar. The reason for that inclusion was that the original guitarist, Adrian Vandenberg, suffered an injury that prevented him from playing.
