Answer: Wrexham

Manchester United went on to win the two-legged tie 5-0. Clayton Blackmore was the only Welsh player to play in the away leg for United but Mark Hughes also played in the home leg for United.
2. United had gone 40 years without defeat in European competition at home but their run was ended in the 1996-97 tournament. Which team ended that run?

Answer: Fenerbahce

Manchester United were defeated 1-0 by Fenerbahce at Old Trafford in the group stages, courtesy of a deflected Elvir Bolic effort. Despite this, United managed to reach the semi-final where they were beaten by eventual winners Borussia Dortmund.

Ernest Magnall, United's first real manager won his first title in 1908. Then it is only Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex Ferguson who have won league championships.

Birtles never settled at Old Trafford after his move from Nottingham Forest. He managed only 12 goals in his 64 appearances for United before returning to Forest in September 1982.

Kanchelskis signed for Everton in 1995. In his first game against United after the move, Kanchelskis was taken off injured after only a few minutes when he tangled with Lee Sharpe. Kanchelskis would later play for Rangers after a spell with Italians Fiorentina.

The answer is 5! United drew Bayern in the group stage, as well as the final. They drew 2-2 in the away game with Scholes and Yorke grabbing the goals, they drew 1-1 at home with Keano getting the goal and of course the 2-1 final win with Solskjaer and Sheringham getting the goals.
Teddy actually scored two goals against Bayern in the campaign; he scored a last-minute own goal in the 2-2 away draw. He made up for it though!
