Question 1 of 10
1. If you missed this actor/director in the beginning of the very first "Moonlighting" episode you're not alone. His whiny exit down a laundry chute wasn't as noteworthy as his later performance in "The Shawshank Redemption". Susan Sarandon definitely noticed him in "Bull Durham". Hint

Question 2 of 10
2. Her guest starring role as a conniving vixen got her noticed by some Hollywood types. The following year she starred in her own show, "China Beach". Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. This former "Sexiest Man Alive" played Maddie's sexy beau, Sam, for 3 episodes. You might know him better as Pam Dawber's husband or the star of the CBS drama, "Navy, NCIS". Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. She played another conniving woman; this time David's brother, Richie, got taken for a ride. In real life, she rides around Hollywood in a limo with her husband, Tom Hanks. Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. With his trademark shades, grand piano and back up singers, this guest star appeared as himself in a "Moonlighting" episode. He sang one of his most famous songs, but changed the title from "Georgia" to "David". Hint

Question 6 of 10
6. Billy Joel appeared in the episode named after his song, "Big Man on Mulberry Street".

Question 7 of 10
7. This big guy played a big guy trying to find his Cinderella in, "Come Back Little Shiksa". You'll know him as Roseanne's TV husband. Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. This actress had an uncredited cameo with her then husband (and star of "Moonlighting") in one of the last episodes, "When Girls Collide". Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. This actress played "Camille" on an episode of the same name. She took home an Oscar playing Oda Mae in the 1992 film, "Ghost". Hint

Question 10 of 10

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. If you missed this actor/director in the beginning of the very first "Moonlighting" episode you're not alone. His whiny exit down a laundry chute wasn't as noteworthy as his later performance in "The Shawshank Redemption". Susan Sarandon definitely noticed him in "Bull Durham".

Answer: Tim Robbins

In "Gunfight at the So-So Corral" Tim Robbins played a hitman wannabe trying to knock off the master assassin, played by Pat Corley (Phil the bartender on "Murphy Brown"), NOT Orson Welles.
2. Her guest starring role as a conniving vixen got her noticed by some Hollywood types. The following year she starred in her own show, "China Beach".

Answer: Dana Delaney

Dana Delaney was memorable as David's ex-girlfriend in a pivotal episode entitled, "Knowing Her". Marg Helgenberger and Ricki Lake were also regulars on "China Beach".
3. This former "Sexiest Man Alive" played Maddie's sexy beau, Sam, for 3 episodes. You might know him better as Pam Dawber's husband or the star of the CBS drama, "Navy, NCIS".

Answer: Mark Harmon

Sam might have been a sexy man, but Maddie threw him over for David in this story arc. I liked Mr. Harmon much more as Dr. Bobby Caldwell in "St. Elsewhere".
4. She played another conniving woman; this time David's brother, Richie, got taken for a ride. In real life, she rides around Hollywood in a limo with her husband, Tom Hanks.

Answer: Rita Wilson

Rita Wilson played a madam trying to get even with her ex-partner in an episode titled "Those Lips, Those Lies". She also produced one of my all time favorite films, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding".
5. With his trademark shades, grand piano and back up singers, this guest star appeared as himself in a "Moonlighting" episode. He sang one of his most famous songs, but changed the title from "Georgia" to "David".

Answer: Ray Charles

He gave sage advice to David regarding his relationship with Maddie. Dr. Joyce Brothers did the same for her in this episode, "A Trip to the Moon".
6. Billy Joel appeared in the episode named after his song, "Big Man on Mulberry Street".

Answer: False

Although it's been reported that Billy Joel was a fan of the show and wrote "Big Man" with David Addison in mind.
7. This big guy played a big guy trying to find his Cinderella in, "Come Back Little Shiksa". You'll know him as Roseanne's TV husband.

Answer: John Goodman

John Goodman played a hitman who had fallen in love with his prey, played by Kay Lenz. They made a rather interesting couple. Orson Welles would have been interesting too, but I think he was deceased by this time. Neither Tom Arnold or Arnold Schwarzenegger ever appeared on "Moonlighting".
8. This actress had an uncredited cameo with her then husband (and star of "Moonlighting") in one of the last episodes, "When Girls Collide".

Answer: Demi Moore

Demi was an ethereal vision on an elevator ride. She didn't speak a word, but the chemistry between her and Bruce Willis was obvious. This story was the beginning of the end for "Moonlighting" which was plagued by endless production delays and reruns.
9. This actress played "Camille" on an episode of the same name. She took home an Oscar playing Oda Mae in the 1992 film, "Ghost".

Answer: Whoopi Goldberg

Whoopi was quite a chameleon for this role, but my favorite take was the hairdresser ala Jose Eber. Also featured were Judd Nelson and Billy Barty. Again, Orson Welles did not appear in this episode and Demi Moore and Cybill Shepherd have never won Oscars.
10. I bet you remember this Hollywood icon for writing, directing and starring in "Citizen Kane". Hopefully, you'll remember that he introduced the "Moonlighting" episode, "The Dream Sequence Always Rings Twice". If you don't, just look at the previous question to get the answer.

Answer: Orson Welles

Orson Welles appeared on the show as a favor to Cybill Shepherd, whom he knew through her relationship with Peter Bogdanovich.
