Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

While half of these currencies can be found in different nations around the world and might sound a bit unreal for the untravelled (or similar to some you might find in fiction), you can be assured that they're legal tender you can get your hands on.

Several nations in Asia use the rupee including India, Mauritius, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the Seychelles, and yes, they're also the de facto currency of Hyrule in the "Legend of Zelda" video game series. Continuing around Asia, the yen is the currency of Japan while yuan is the base unit of renminbi, the Chinese currency. Both North and South Korea utilize won; Vietnam uses the dong.

Dinar will take you westward around the globe where it's used in many Arabic nations (including Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, and Kuwait in the Middle East, Algeria, Libya, and Tunisia in North Africa, and as an outlier, the European nation of Serbia).

Madagascar stands alone with the ariary, while Mauritania is the only nation that uses the ouguiya. Similarly, Peru is the sole sol nation. The South African rand is used as the currency for several Southern African nations; besides South Africa, it's used by Lesotho, Eswatini, and Namibia.

As for the wrong answers, most of these are from video games, so while they still have value, you're not necessarily using them in the real world. Gil is found across the "Final Fantasy" series (regardless of the world it visits); zenny is used in the Capcom games "Monster Hunter" and "Breath of Fire"; munny is the funny money of "Kingdom Hearts" (spelled in the way Winnie the Pooh spells 'honey' as 'hunny').

While caps, essentially bottle caps, are the post-apocalyptic currency of the "Fallout" games, Simoleons are used by the Sims in the classic life simulator games by Maxis/EA. Bison dollars, meanwhile, find their use in "Street Fighter" and bear M. Bison's likeness.

Some of the other currencies here aren't used specifically in games. Knuts (which, along with sickles and galleons), used in the "Harry Potter" universe, appear in bronze. Darsek is the currency of the Klingon empire in the many "Star Trek" series. Belly, or berry, is found in the world of the manga/anime "One Piece", and in the literary works of Terry Pratchett, you'll find that rhinu is a currency of Discworld.
