The Daytona 500 is held annually in February at the Daytona International Speedway. NASCAR (the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) has its headquarters in the city, which is located in Volusia County on Florida's Atlantic coast.

Robert Zimmerman, better known as Bob Dylan, was born in Duluth in 1941. This city, county seat of St Louis County, Minnesota, lies on the shores of Lake Superior and is one of the largest ports on the Great Lakes.
3. Which city is the site of Southern Methodist University?

Answer: Dallas

The county seat of Dallas County in Texas, Dallas is infamous throughout the world as the location of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963. Southern Methodist University was founded in the city in 1911 by the Methodist Episcopal Church.

Davenport is the county seat of Scott County, Iowa. Along with Bettendorf, it lies across the Mississippi River from the Illinois cities of Moline and Rock Island. The first railroad bridge across the Mississippi was built in 1856, connecting Davenport and Rock Island.

Detroit, the county seat of Wayne County, Michigan, has been a major centre for automobile production since Henry Ford opened his first factory there in 1899. Sixty years later, Berry Gordy Jnr founded Motown records in Detroit.
