Answer: Mobile

Situated on the shores of Mobile Bay, an inlet of the Gulf of Mexico, the city of Mobile was founded in 1702 under its original name of Fort Louis de la Louisiane. Nicknamed "Azalea City", shipbuilding has formed a major part of the city's economy since the early 20th century.
2. The state capital of Vermont is Montpelier.

Answer: True

First settled in 1787, Montpelier succeeded Windsor as state capital in 1805. The city is named after the French city of Montpellier, and stands on the banks of the Winooski River.
3. The main campus of the University of Wisconsin is situated in which city?

Answer: Madison

Incorporated in 1848, Madison was named after former President James Madison, and is the state capital of Wisconsin. The University of Wisconsin was also founded there in 1848, and its sports teams, nicknamed The Badgers, are members of the Big 10 Conference.

Founded in 1819, Memphis is named after the ancient capital of Egypt. The city was built on the Fourth Chickasaw Bluff, near the mouth of the Wolf River.

Monterey was established in 1770, and was capital of California until 1849. The local cheese is called Monterey Jack. The Monterey Jazz Festival has taken place each Fall since 1958.

Montgomery was incorporated in 1819, and named after Richard Montgomery, a General during the Revolutionary War. The city was named state capital of Alabama in 1846. In 1955, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a Montgomery bus to a white man, sparking the famous Bus Boycott which lasted for over a year.
9. Which city is nicknamed "Brew City" due to its history of brewing beer?

Answer: Milwaukee

Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is situated on the shores of Lake Michigan. The city was at one time the biggest beer-producing city in the world, but service and healthcare industries played a more prominent part in the city's economy in the early 21st century.

Answer: Manhattan

First settled in 1855, Manhattan, Kansas, is nicknamed the "Little Apple" in deference to its New York namesake. Kansas State University was established there in 1863 under its original name of the Kansas State Agricultural College.
