Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

Rage Against the Machine was an American band that was formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1991. The personnel were Zack de la Rocha (vocals), Tom Morello (guitars), Tim Commerford (bass), and Brad Wilk (drums).

"Rage Against the Machine" was the debut album from the band which was released on November 6, 1992. The album topped the charts on the US Heatseekers Albums (Billboard) and number two on the US Top Catalog Albums (Billboard). In the UK it reached number 17 on the UK albums chart.

The album was promoted through the Rage Against the Machine Tour, which began on January 15, 1993, in Chicago and ended on December 31, 1993, in Detroit. The band played in Canada, Mexico, UK, Switzerland, Italy and several other countries.

The next album released was "Evil Empire" which is the theme for this quiz. The album was released on April 16, 1996 on the Epic label. "Evil Empire" topped the charts on the US Billboard 200 and the UK Rock & Metal Albums (Official Charts). Three songs from the album were released as singles, "People of the Sun", "Bulls on Parade" and "Vietnow".

On November 2, 1999, Rage Against the Machine released their third album, "The Battle of Los Angeles." On February 21, 2001, at the 43rd Annual Grammy Awards, "The Battle of Los Angeles" received a nomination for Best Rock Album, and the track "Guerrilla Radio" won the award for Best Hard Rock Performance. The Best Rock Album award was won by the Foo Fighters with their album, "There Is Nothing Left to Lose."

This album is completely compiled of covers from artists such as Bruce Springsteen ("The Ghost of Tom Joad"), Bob Dylan ("Maggie's Farm"), and the Rolling Stones ("Street Fighting Man"), to name a few.

Rising festival. On November 1, 2019, they all got back together again. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the band had to change the dates for live gigs.
