Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Electrocutioner is one of the most niche perks in the game. It only works on one, single weapon. Which one is it?

Answer: Stun Baton

The Stun Baton wields actual electricity. It can incapacitate zombies and enemy players alike. The weapon is extremely weak on damage early, but experiences the hands down largest growth in the game that causes its damage to become quite relevant towards the late and end game. With the right perks and enough levels into Electrocutioner, the player can do wild things like kill a Zombie Bear up close without taking a single point of damage, since the Bear was constantly stunned and unable to move.

Despite also being a Baton, the Pipe Baton does not benefit from this perk. To be fair, it is called 'Electrocutioner', so not working on a power-less weapon makes logical sense.
2. Robotics Inventor aims to let the player become a true mad scientist. Which item of the following does this perk work on?

Answer: Pipe Baton

Despite basically being a big stick made of mere plastic and iron, the Pipe Baton is considered a Robotic for some odd reason. The Stun Baton gets this classification as well.

The Robotic Turret is the main beneficiary of this perk. The turret can be loaded with any kind of ammunition, though it can't be loaded with a mix; if you put 7.62mms inside of it, these must either be expended or removed before you'd be allowed to put shotgun shells in it.

Intellect build players building into this perk tend to end up making super complex bases garrisoned by an embarrassing amount of turrets. When zombies or any kind of enemy appear, the turrets simply blast them into pieces.

It is worth noting, for those engaging in multiplayer, turrets will target your friends unless they are part of your Party. As such, you'd either need to disable the turrets or, more reasonably, simply add friends to your Party before inviting them to your turret-laden base.
3. Calculated Attack is meant to increase the attack speed of Batons. At the maximum rank of 5, what is the attack speed bonus?

Answer: 25%

As with all attack speed related perks, Calculated Attack is generally a very mediocre choice. The perk grants a measly 5% attack speed per level up, which is simply indistinguishable and makes effectively no difference fighting zombies. Even at 25%, the impact is barely felt. For five whole level ups, there are many, many perks in this game that simply provide far more value.
4. Better Barter is good for players who want to be in a good place financially and economically. Which of the following will this perk work against?

Answer: Traders

Better Barter simultaneously makes a Trader's stock cheaper, while giving the player a greater return when they sell things to these Traders. Dealing with Traders is a massive mechanic in this game. All builds, regardless of their core strategy, can make massive use out of this perk.
5. The Daring Adventurer makes taking quests from Traders more worthwhile. This perk gets to be seriously strong at its maximum level 5. What does it do at level 5?

Answer: Double the item reward

Before reaching L5 in this perk, the player is paid in Dukes, XP and one item of a selection of five for completing quests. At level 5, the player may now choose two, instead of just one, of the five items. Some quests in this game give stupendous rewards, which can make this perk really stand out.

It is a perk that is a lot better in the early game, then somewhat tapers off late as quest rewards plateau and the player reaches the end game.
6. Charismatic Nature is noteworthy for being the one perk that lets a player buff their allies. Your friends will love you if you have this perk. What is one thing it can do for them?

Answer: Take less damage from all sources

A +1 to all stats, finding better loot, taking less damage from literally everything and regenerating health at a much faster rate are the main highlights. This perk's only downside is that it does absolutely zilch on a solo run, as its benefits do not extend to the user themselves.

As such, if planning a run where you are going to be entirely solo, this perk becomes completely useless. Otherwise, it is quite fantastic for supporting friends.
7. Physician is notoriously one of the most overpowered perks in this entire game; not even at max level, as this perk effectively breaks the game right from level 1. What does it do at level 1?

Answer: The player can now instantly cure broken bones

Ordinarily, suffering a Broken Leg or Arm is severely crippling. A broken leg massively reduces movement speed, causes the player to take damage for sprinting or jumping, and greatly reduces their jump height. A Broken Arm causes the player to take damage just for using their weapon, and it causes reload speed and melee swing speed to plummet.

If caught in a horde with a broken body part, death is almost inevitable. The Physician perk saves the day entirely. Normally, using a cast to help a broken body part merely accelerates the speed of recovery. When a horde is breathing down your neck, going from 20 minutes to 10 minutes is effectively meaningless. Physician at just Level 1, however, makes a cast instantly cure a broken arm or leg.
8. Advanced Engineering, as the name implies, is a perk for players who intend to do a lot of building. It makes building efforts far less expensive on resources. What is one resource this perk impacts?

Answer: Forged Steel

At level 5, all recipes involving Forged Steel become roughly 1/3rd cheaper. Forged Steel is a major resource in countless different building recipes. It also costs a fair bit to make from a Forge. As such, if the player cares at all about building a high quality base, this perk is a must have.
9. Driving mechanics in this game are very wonky. The Grease Monkey perk aims to mitigate this. The player will be impacted by this perk using what item on their vehicle?

Answer: Repair Kit

It is deceptively easy to crash vehicles into all manner of things. None of them, apart from technically the Gyrocopter, have good off road performance. As for the copter itself, landing it without crashing or bumping into anything is almost impossible, inevitably leading to it taking damage.

Repair Kits heal off damage vehicles take. They are not the hardest to craft by any means, but the 4x4 Truck especially eats these things like nothing. Grease Monkey can help defend against this.
10. Intellect Mastery comes with some very generally useful attributes. One of them comes when reading a Skill Magazine. At level 3, what has a chance to happen when reading a Skill Magazine?

Answer: Chance to get an extra skill point

Every skill in this game has 100 points. Without Intellect Mastery, that means the player would have to read 100 books to max the skill out. This perk can cut down on the monotony, with an exact 50% chance to grant a second skill point on using a Skill Magazine.
