Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The truth about Princess Zelda's whereabouts can be gleaned by collecting the Dragon's Tears, of which there are how many?

Answer: Twelve

One thing that Link can do while he's hopping around Hyrule is locate the twelve massive designs across the land, all drawn into place by the Dragon's Tears that have fallen from the sky. Visiting these can, sometimes, be a bit difficult, but locating them, and each of the tears, can provide Link with twelve different memories of the Imprisoning War and subsequent events that unleashed the Demon King. And more than this, they'll reveal that Zelda committed herself to restoring the Master Sword, transforming into the Light Dragon that can be found flying around Hyrule from a spot higher than the Sky Islands.
2. Zelda chose which of these sacred locations to hold and empower the Master Sword?

Answer: The Great Deku Tree

Although the Master Sword was decayed, Zelda's efforts to restore it, while detrimental to her, would be extremely important in helping Link succeed. Though this started with her becoming the Light Dragon, the Master Sword would need time to absorb sacred power, heal itself, and become empowered, and the place to do this was in the care of the sacred Great Deku Tree, located in the middle of a glade in the Lost Woods.

It's Mineru's suggestion that points Link in the next direction, allowing him to go hunting for the Great Deku Tree and the Master Sword, but getting there is a bit tricky since something odd is preventing anyone from advancing through the already magically-protected woodlands to the north of Hyrule Castle.
3. The only way into the Lost Woods is through which means?

Answer: Ascending from the Depths

Of all creatures, it will be Hestu, the massive Korok in Lookout Landing, who will say there's an ominous feeling surrounding what's happening in the Korok Woods to the north, and visiting, the locals will say the Lost Woods just aren't right anymore; no one can get through the fog there to locate the heart of the forest.

Instead, Link can drop into a chasm near the forest entrance, navigating the Depths below to find a spot near Rikonasum Lightroot, right in the middle of the Korok Glade (and he can follow the underground Koroks to find his way). Ascending from here will put him right in front of the Great Deku Tree, where it'll be immediately noticeable that the Koroks, and the tree itself, aren't feeling too well.
4. Who of these will Link need to defeat to save the Koroks from the Gloom plaguing their forest?

Answer: Phantom Ganon

Once Link discovers that the Great Deku Tree is feeling unwell, he'll be able to head into the tree's navel and descend into the Deku Tree Chasm to fight the Gloom Hands causing the illness. What will result is a battle against a lingering Phantom Ganon, the Scourge of the Deku Tree, who'll fight Link in a narrow arena coated in gloom.

Once Link defeats these foes, the Koroks will descend to thank him and let him know the forest has been, at least somewhat, restored. The Deku Tree will be happy to meet him again.
5. When the location of the Master Sword is able to be pinpointed, it'll be determined to be a moving target. This is because it's located where?

Answer: On the back of the Light Dragon

The Great Deku Tree will remember Link quite well as he had, at one point, ventured into the woods to claim the Master Sword for another adventure. That time when he visited, the Master Sword was indeed ready to use, having soaked in as much sacred power as it could. Unfortunately, the sword is no longer there. Instead, the Great Deku Tree will hone in on its powers to determine that it's up in the sky somewhere, moving around on a circuit around Hyrule. He recommends being resourceful to collect it.

As it turns out, the moving target is none other than the Light Dragon, and with the Great Deku Tree's advice, it will lower from its altitude to be reachable from a number of Sky Islands or Sky Towers around the map. You'll need to pick a close-enough location to be able to fly over while it makes its two-hour circuit of the sky.
6. Link needs to enhance which of these to be able to collect the Master Sword?

Answer: Stamina

Whether Link flies in from above or uses Zonai technology to arrive from below, he'll be able to get onboard the Light Dragon for the first time and climb along to the creature's head to find the Master Sword impaled on top, sealed away and collecting sacred power from Princess Zelda, herself. If he can get his hands on the sword he has the ability to hang on and withdraw the sword altogether, but it will take two full wheels of stamina to accomplish this, otherwise he'll be cast off.

If he succeeds, the dragon will bring Link into the sky, allow the weapon to be taken, fully restored, and drop Link off at the Temple of Time.
7. The Master Sword has the ability to fuse with objects.

Answer: True

The Master Sword is, for sure, the tool Link needs to defeat the Demon King once again. In a vision, Princess Zelda will speak to Link, upon reclaiming the weapon, to let him know that he has her strength to help in the final fight; he is Hyrule's final hope. (No pressure.)

After Link is dropped off at the Temple of Time, he can take his first swings with the sword. If at full health, the Master Sword will shoot off powerful beams of energy, and perhaps more interestingly, Link can fuse attachments to the blade to do more damage.

As with in "Breath of the Wild", the Master Sword has a limit of use before it needs to recharge (for about ten minutes), but this timer doesn't exist in the final battle, so it is one of the best options in your arsenal to finish off the final boss.
8. Link will discover that Ganondorf is waiting in a lair underneath Hyrule Castle. Which of these is the name of his battle arena?

Answer: Gloom's Lair

If you managed to locate Master Kogha in all of his hideouts in the Depths, he'll allude to the fact that Ganondorf will be amassing power from a chasm far beneath Hyrule Castle. It makes the most sense; descending underground from the chasm here will lead Link to a gauntlet of tough foes, taking him so deep into the Depths that he'll lose his power to call upon the spirits of the Sages.

Once he passes through the Forgotten Foundation and the Imprisoning Chamber, where he and Zelda started their adventure, he'll come upon Gloom's Approach and be forced to fight the Demon King's Army. The actual Sages will arrive to partake in this fight, spurring all of the past temple bosses to appear and take up their attention, but it'll give Link the chance to descend into Gloom's Lair to take on the final battle.
9. In a last-ditch effort to defeat Link, Ganondorf will consume his Sacred Stone and transform into which of these?

Answer: A dragon

Once Link arrives in Gloom's Lair, he'll finally be before the Demon King Ganandorf, the Menace Unleashed and Master of the Secret Stone, who will transform with the intent to swat Link away and rule the land. This battle will take place in phases, the first of which is very similar to the fights against Phantom Ganon, but which will intensify once Ganondorf replenishes and doubles his health.

If Link can prove the able swordsman, Ganondorf will take extreme measures to ensure victory, consuming his stolen Sacred Stone and transforming into the Demon Dragon, the Draconified Demon King, and taking to the skies above Hyrule.

Fortunately, the Light Dragon will arrive to assist Link in the ultimate fight in which he'll need to fly out onto the Demon Dragon's back to destroy four weak points. It'll unlock the last target on the boss' head-- the Sacred Stone-- and when that's destroyed, Ganondorf will be annihilated.
10. Upon the conclusion of the adventure, the Sages will pledge to provide their strength to protect Hyrule. Who, of the Sages, will cross into the afterlife?

Answer: Mineru

Once Link performs the final smash on the Demon Dragon, he'll plummet toward the surface of Hyrule, getting saved by the Light Dragon as a huge blast rocks the kingdom. In a vision, Link's arm brings forth the channeled light power and time power of Rauru and Sonia, allowing him to restore Princess Zelda from her self-imposed dragon form and healing Link's arm.

The real problem is that Link and Zelda will fall to the surface of the kingdom together, and if Link dives fast enough, he can catch her and land the pair of them in a small lake, surviving the almost-certain death awaiting them. Near the water's edge, Princess Zelda will awaken as if from a dream, realizing that Link has the sword. She'll note that the Demon King must be gone. Link did it; she's home.

At the conclusion of the adventure, Link, Zelda, Purah, and the Sages will walk amongst the Sky Islands outside the Temple of Time. With the world now safe, the Sages pledge their strength to Zelda, vowing to protect Hyrule forevermore. While Mineru crosses into the afterlife to meet with Rauru and Sonia, the others watch on.
