Answer: Potatoes and cabbage

Bubble and Squeak is made by mashing left over potatoes, ( or spuds as some of us call them ) and shredded cabbage.Some people use sprouts as well. They are mixed together with a bit of pepper and then fried. The name is supposed to come from the noise the mixture makes as it cooks.

Answer: Haddock

Melton Mowbray is also the area where Stilton cheese comes from. This is not a coincidence. The by products of the cheese industry were found to be very good food to feed to pigs.

The basin is then loaded with the juices of the fruit and a weight is placed on top. It is then refrigerated until ready. serve with plenty of fresh whipped cream.
