Answer: Bergen

The 1986 contest was held at the Grieghallenin Bergen. The Grieghallenin (Grieg Hall) is the home of the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra as well as being a premier venue for "black metal" rock groups ("black metal" being an extreme version of "heavy metal").
2. Which country won the 1986 Eurovision Song Contest?

Answer: Belgium

Belgium won with its entry "J'aime la vie" ("I Love Life") sung by Sandra Kim.
It beat out second-place Switzerland by 36 points.
3. The UK's 1986 entry was a song called "Runner In The Night". Who sang it?

Answer: Ryder

While all the possible given answers are British pop groups, the group that sang the 1986 Eurovision entry was Ryder. Ryder formed for the sole purpose of competing in this contest.

Blue Mink was a British pop group from 1969-1974. Marmalade was a Scottish band of the 1960s and early 1970s. Tight Fit was a British pop group in the early 1980s.

Sissel Kyrkjebo is a Norwegian soprano who is equally comfortable singing pop music as she is singing operatic arias. Steinar Ofsdal is a Norwegian flutist and composer.

Sidsel Endresen is a Norwegian folk singer. Silje Nergaard is a Norwegian pop and jazz singer.
