Answer: Tegan. Vislor. Sarah Jane. Jo.

Tegan Jovanka, companion of the fourth and fifth doctors, was played by Janet Fielding.

Vislor Turlough, companion of the fifth Doctor, was played by Mark Strickson.

Sarah Jane Smith, companion of the third and fourth Doctors, was played by Elisabeth Sladen.

Perpugilliam (Peri) Brown was played by Nicola Bryant. She was the companion of the fifth Doctor (briefly) and the sixth Doctor.
5. Companions Rose and Steven have similar last names. What are they?

Answer: Tyler and Taylor

Steven Taylor, played by Peter Purves, was a companion of the first Doctor. Rose Tyler was played by Billie Piper.

Maureen O'Brien played the first Doctor's companion, Vicki. Deborah Watling played the second Doctor's companion, Victoria Waterfield. Vicki was a girl from the 25th Century, while Victoria was from the Victorian age.
6. Maureen O'Brien and Deborah Watling played companions with similar names. What were they?

Answer: Vicki and Victoria

Maureen O'Brien played the first Doctor's companion, Vicki. Deborah Watling played the second Doctor's companion, Victoria Waterfield. Vicki was a girl from the 25th Century, while Victoria was from the Victorian age.
7. Companions Sarah Jane Smith and Sara Kingdom shared similar first names, but who played them?

Answer: Elisabeth Sladen and Jean Marsh

Elisabeth Sladen played Sarah, journalist companion of the third and fourth Doctors, while Sara Kingdom, short-lived companion of the first Doctor, was played by Jean Marsh.
8. One of the fourth Doctor's companions was played by two actresses, Mary Tamm and Lalla Ward. What was the explanation for this?

Answer: Romana 1 decided to regenerate

After the "Key to Time" sequence, Romana simply changed her appearance by regeneration. She seems to have chosen to do this rather than been forced to by ill health or trauma. She chose the appearance of Princess Astra, a character who had appeared in the last of the "Key to Time" stories, and who had been played by Lalla Ward.
9. Which of the Doctors' companions was also a doctor?

Answer: The third, fourth and eighth Doctors

Lt Harry Sullivan, a naval surgeon was a companion of the fourth Doctor.

Dr Grace Holloway was the eighth Doctor's companion in the movie. Harry was played by Ian Marter, and Grace by Daphne Ashbrook.

Liz Shaw, companion of the third Doctor, was also a doctor, but of science rather than medicine. Liz was played by Caroline John.
10. Which of the following actors have played more than one role in "Doctor Who"?

Answer: All of them

Jean Marsh played Joanna in "The Crusades" and Sara Kingdom in "The Daleks' Masterplan" (both first Doctor stories) and Morgaine in "Battlefield", a seventh Doctor story.

Ian Marter played Harry Sullivan, companion to the third and fourth Doctors, and also played Lt. John Andrews in "Carnival of Monsters", a third Doctor story.

Jacqueline Hill played the first Doctor's companion Barbara Wright and also appeared as Lexa in "Meglos", a fourth Doctor story.
11. What did companions Kamelion, Susan, Adric and K9 have in common?

Answer: None of them was really human

Kamelion (Gerald Ford) and K9 (John Leeson/ David Brierley) were both robots, but Susan (Carole Ann Ford) was a Gallifreyan and Adric (Matthew Waterhouse) an evolved Marshman. There is a possibility that Susan was 1/8 human, but that depends on a number of things. IF the Doctor was half human (as the eighth Doctor states in the movie, and IF Susan really was his granddaughter, (as the first Doctor states in "An Unearthly Child") then Susan had some human blood.

However, the Doctor also claims to be called "Doctor John Smith" and that Susan is "Susan Foreman" and we know these statements are untrue, so there's some doubt.
12. Which companion came from Pease Pottage in 1980s England?

Answer: Mel Bush

Melanie (Mel) Bush was a red-headed health-food and exercise nut from Pease Pottage. She travelled with the sixth Doctor and fed him carrot juice.
13. Aside from Romana and K9, which companion has been played by two different adult actors?

Answer: Jamie

Jamie McCrimmon, companion of the second Doctor, was usually played by Frazer Hines, but in one episode of "The Mind Robber" he was played by Hamish Wilson. Ostensibly, his face was changed by the Master of the Land of Fiction, but actually Frazer Hines had chickenpox. Frazer Hines also played a look-alike phantom of Jamie in "The Five Doctors".
14. How many roles did Anthony Ainley play in "Doctor Who"?

Answer: two

Anthony Ainley played the Master for some years, after the death of Roger Delgado, the first incumbent in the role. Before playing the Master, Ainley starred as Tremas in "The Keeper of Traken". As in the case of the two Romanas, there is a good (scripted) reason for the same face to appear in consecutive stories under two different character names.
15. Which companions have parents who appear in "Doctor Who"?

Answer: Rose, Nyssa and Leela

Rose Tyler's mum Jackie Tyler (played by Camille Coduri) appears in several episodes with her daughter. Nyssa's dad Tremas, (played by Anthony Ainley) appears in "The Keeper of Traken" and Leela's dad Sole (played by Colin Thomas) appears in "The Face of Evil".

The Master kills Tremas and takes over his body, while Sole is killed by the Horda. Nyssa's stepmother Kassia also appears. Tegan's Aunt Vanessa appears in one episode (and I think her grandfather does as well), while Jo's uncle is mentioned.
