"Shampoo" relates the story of a philandering hairdresser to the stars as he navigates professional acclaim and his many romantic conquests. Starring Warren Beatty as hairdresser to the stars, George Roundy, Carrie Fisher makes her appearance as the daughter of George's main conquest, Felicia.

Fisher had a leading role as Princess Leia in the 1977 classic "Star Wars", its sequel "The Empire Strikes Back" in 1980 and "Return of the Jedi" in 1983. She reprised the role, only this time as General Leia Organa, in the 2015 "Star Wars: The Force Awakens".

It's an oddity that Carrie Fisher was not credited in her own name as she was one of the film's main antagonists. Her character was previously engaged to Joliet Blues (one of the Blues Brothers) and was on film-wide rampage as a heavily armed scorned woman after he left her at the alter. "I remained celibate for you, you miserable pig!"

Answer: The publication of her father's autobiography.

At the height of his success, singer Eddie Fisher was considered to be one of America's sweethearts and was certainly one of the most successful entertainers of his day achieving 32 hits during the 1950s. Unfortunately he seemed unable to reconcile his career successes with his inter-personal relationships, especially it seems, with his many wives.

His first autobiography 'Eddie: My Life, My Loves', was published in 1983 in which he wrote about his reluctance, pressurization and entrapment in his first three marriages. His second autobiography, published in 1999, 'Been There, Done That' contained scathing perceived faults with Carrie's Fisher's mother, the actress Debbie Reynolds, whom he said was self-centered, insecure, untruthful and a phony.

Naturally furious at his ramblings, Carrie Fisher threatened to discard his name and adopt that of her mother. It was in a 1999 interview with entertainment journalist, Jim Slotek, that Carrie Fisher expressed a desire to have her DNA 'fumigated', thereby disowning her father, after the character mauling that her mother had received within its pages.

The somewhat slim plot involves a TV executive's attempts to arrange a reunion between three aging Hollywood stars, all of whom hate each other. Reynolds, MacLaine and Collins play the actresses, with Taylor (in her last screen appearance) as their agent. The film had a somewhat cool reception, with critics tending to agree that the performers all think it's much funnier than it actually is. Carrie herself makes a cameo appearance as "Second Hooker".

Answer: Gary Fisher was Fisher's pet dog

Gary Fisher was a French bulldog that was owned by Carrie Fisher from 2013 until her death in 2016. Upon her death, Gary was cared for by Fisher's daughter and one-time owner, Billie Lourd, for a time, before retiring to Florida with Fisher's personal assistant, Corby McCoin.

"Ringo" features actual Beatle, Ringo Starr, playing himself AND his doppelganger, Ognir Rrats (just Ringo Starr spelled in reverse). Ognir was a regular joe, dating Carrie Fisher's character, while selling maps to the houses of the stars in Hollywood. Of course, the two characters, Ringo and Ognir, get mixed up in a case of mistaken identity. The film had an all-star cast to include Starr, Fisher, Vincent Price, Angie Dickinson and fellow Beatle, George Harrison.

Answer: her mother, Debbie Reynolds, died the next day

Carrie Fisher died on 27 December 2016. Her mother, Debbie Reynolds, posted thanks on FaceBook to all of the fans who had sent words of encouragement during her daughter's illness. The next day, 28 December, Ms. Reynolds and her son Todd Fisher made plans for Carrie's funeral. Debbie Reynolds suffered a stroke and died later that day in hospital. Todd reported that his mother had said "I miss her so much, I want to be with Carrie."
