Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. James and Oliver

Answer: Phelps

James Andrew Eric Phelps and Oliver Martyn John Phelps were born in Birmingham, England, in 1986. When they were 14 years old, the twins auditioned for a role in the first film of the "Harry Potter" franchise, "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" (2001).

Despite having no acting experience other than a few school plays, the brothers got the roles of Fred and George Weasley, Ron Weasley's twin brothers. Since then, the brothers appeared in all eight "Harry Potter" movies released between 2001 and 2011. James also served as an assistant director in "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" (2009).

The brothers have acted together in other movies like "Danny and the Human Zoo" (2015) and "Last Night in Soho" (2021).
2. Max and Harvey

Answer: Mills

Max Luca Mills and Harvey Kitt Mills were born in Berkshire, England, on December 31, 2002. Their artistic careers started from a very young age: they began singing when they were only eight years old and were featured in ITV's "William and Mary" in 2005 when they were just three years old, taking turns to portray Thomas in six episodes.

The twins had a few other appearances in television and theater, but what really launched them to fame was their singing and lip-syncing videos posted on the platform musical.ly and then on TikTok. Max and Harvey also competed on "The X Factor: Celebrity" in 2019 and finished in second place. Throughout the show, they performed songs like Macklemore's "Can't Hold Us" and One Direction's "Kiss You".
3. Dylan and Cole

Answer: Sprouse

Dylan and Cole Sprouse are perhaps one of the best-known twin child actor pairs. The brothers are American citizens, but were born in Tuscany, Italy, in 1992 because their parents were teaching in the European country back then. The Sprouse brothers started their career as babies, filming diaper commercials and the character of Patrick Kelly on "Grace Under Fire" (1993-1998). One of the first major projects for the Sprouses was Adam Sandler's "Big Daddy" (1999), where both twins played the role of Julian McGrath. They also had roles in "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" (2001) and "The Master of Disguise" (2002), and Cole played Ross's son, Ben, in the TV comedy show "Friends" between 2000 and 2002.

In 2005 and through 2008, the Sprouse brothers rose to global fame by starring in Disney Channel's "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody", a show telling the story of two mischievous twins who live in a hotel. The program was extremely successful with audiences and led to a sequel called "The Suite Life on Deck" (2008-2011), which now followed the twins as they went to school on a cruise ship. They have also played the roles of Zack and Cody Martin in other Disney shows like "That's So Raven" (2006), "Wizards of Waverly Place" (2009), and "Hannah Montana" (2009).
4. Billy and Bobby

Answer: Mauch

Billy and Bobby were born William John Mauch and Robert Joseph Mauch in July of 1921. They are identical twins who are mostly known for their work as child actors between 1928 and 1937. The brothers sang and acted since they were very little, and their talent was noticed by Warner Bros., which signed a contract with them. Their most famous project was "The Prince and the Pauper" (1937), which was directed by William Keighley and starred Errol Flynn. The Mauch brothers arguably never had a project bigger than the film adaptation of Mark Twain's story, but Billy did have some other roles in works like "Bedtime for Bonzo" (1951), which starred future U.S. President Ronald Reagan.

Billy died in September of 2006 at age 85, while Bobby died a year later, in October of 2007, aged 86.
5. James and Lukas

Answer: Rodriguez

This is a pair of twins that you might not immediately recognize unless you are (like myself) a huge fan of "Malcolm in the Middle". That is because James and Lukas Rodriguez were the two child actors who portrayed Jamie Wilkerson, the youngest brother of the family in the last few seasons (between 2004 and 2006) of this iconic show starring Frankie Muniz, Jane Kaczmarek, and Bryan Cranston. Jamie was born in the season 4 finale, and the baby was originally played by sisters Kara Sanford and Jessica Sanford. The gender of the baby wasn't revealed until a few episodes later. When Jamie grows up, he is played by James and Lukas Rodriguez, who each filmed a few episodes as the child.

The Rodriguez twins did not become as famous as "Malcolm in the Middle", however. They appeared in the CBS drama "Without a Trace" (2009) once and then disappeared from the world of acting. In 2012, Frankie Muniz posted a picture of a cast reunion where the twins posed with their co-stars from the show.
6. Brent and Shane

Answer: Kinsman

Brent and Shane Kinsman are two American twins born on November 13, 1997, in Los Angeles, California. In a 2022 interview, the twins said that they started acting when they were only four years old because a talent agent spotted them at Dodger Stadium. The "out of control" twins caught the attention of the talent agent and they were then offered a few opportunities, mainly playing energetic twins like their real-life personalities. Their rise to fame came when they were cast as Kyle and Nigel Baker in the 2003 hit movie "Cheaper by the Dozen" starring Steve Martin and its sequel in 2005. They won the Young Artist Award for Best Young Ensemble in a Feature Film as part of the "Cheaper by the Dozen" cast.

Other notable acting credits of the Kinsman twins include their roles as Porter and Preston Scavo in "Desperate Housewives" (2004-2008) and their portrayal of Curly and Larry Weddington in an episode of the medical drama "ER" (2008).
7. Christian and Joseph

Answer: Cousins

Christian and Joseph Cousins were born on March 17, 1983, in Orange County, California. They appeared in projects like "Highway to Heaven" (1985) and the soap opera "Knots Landing" (1987-1992), where they portrayed Bobby Ewing. The career of the Cousins brothers arguably reached its highest moment when they played Dominic Palmieri in Arnold Schwarzenegger's movie "Kindergarten Cop" (1990).

They would later make appearances in movies like "Critters 3" (1991) and "Twin Sitters" (1994) and TV series like "Wings" (1992).

After 1995, not much more was heard of the two twins.
8. Lucas and Marcus

Answer: Dobre

Lucas and Marcus Dobre-Mofid were born in Maryland in 1999 to former Romanian gymnast Aurelia Dobre and Iranian gymnast and entrepreneur Boz Mofid. They are known, especially among younger children, for their audiovisual content uploaded to platforms like Vine, YouTube, and TikTok. The Dobre brothers have uploaded videos of them acting and singing, though they are better known for dancing. With their brothers Cyrus and Darius, they have accumulated millions of subscribers through several YouTube channels, and have collaborated with other online celebrities like Jake Paul.

The Dobre brothers have been criticized by fellow YouTubers like Danny Gonzalez, PewDiePie, and Cody Ko. In 2020, the Dobre brothers were involved in a feud with Cody after he published a couple of videos mocking them, particularly poking fun at their song "Stop That" through his own (and arguably better) parody called "Knock It Off". The Dobres accused Cody of cyber-bullying and challenged him to a fight, to which Cody responded with another video displaying abusive comments from Dobre fans aimed at him.
9. Evan and Ryder

Answer: Londo

When they were only 6 years old, Evan and Ryder Londo were cast to play Abel in the FX series "Sons of Anarchy". The twins started appearing as the son of Jax Teller and Wendy Case in 2011 and kept the role through the end of the show in its seventh season (2014).

The character was originally played by Tyler Silva in the first seasons. The Londo twins also portrayed Gene Draper in several episodes of the TV series "Mad Men" (2009-2015) and also collaborated in the 2016 film "Rules Don't Apply" starring Warren Beatty and Lily Collins.
10. Gilby and Hardy

Answer: Griffin Davis

British child actor Roman Griffin Davis had the starring role in the 2019 film "Jojo Rabbit", also starring Thomasin McKenzie, Taika Waititi, and Rebel Wilson. He was not, however, the only member of his family to participate in the film! His brothers Gilby Griffin Davis and Hardy Griffin Davis, who are twins, also made an appearance in a scene where the Nazis were supposedly cloning children. The scene shows at least eight children in a room, but in reality, all of these characters were played by the two twins.

The twins also appeared in the 2021 movie "Silent Night" which starred Keira Knightley and Matthew Goode. The film also had their brother Roman as a co-star, and their mother Camille Griffin was the director.
