Answer: Ba Sing Se

Ba Sing Se is the capital city of the Earth Kingdom. Omashu, ruled by Aang's old friend Bumi, is a grand Earth Kingdom city in itself, but it is not the capital. Laogai is the name of the lake under which the Avatar gang is finally reunited with Appa and Jet meets an early demise. A chukra is a pool of energy inside the body as explained by the Guru shortly before the end of Book Two.

Answer: Duck meat

Iroh loves roasted duck, as shown at several points throughout the series. You can even see him chowing down on some in the very first episode, much to Zuko's disgust.

Answer: Earth

Aang is happy, carefree, agile, and soft. To become an earthbender, he must become stern, tough, unmovable, much like the earth itself (as said by Toph).

Answer: Water

Not only is Katara just a waterbender, but she's the South Pole's ONLY waterbender...which means that she's entirely self taught. This makes for some good comic relief in the early episodes.

Answer: Agni Kai

An Agni Kai is a duel between two firebenders where the participants' egos, and sometimes their honor, is at stake. Three Agni Kais are shown throughout the series: one between Zuko and his father Ozai, one between Zuko and (then) Captain Zhao, and one between Zuko and his sister Azula.

The Dai Li is the behind-the-scenes organization that keeps the Earth Kingdom running smoothly. Jeong Jeong was Aang's first firebending teacher. Kyoshi was an earlier Avatar.

Answer: Whale Tail Island

Zuko and Katara travel to Whale Tail Island to confront the firebender that murdered Katara's and Sokka's mother. Katara resists her impulse to kill him in cold blood, but vows to never forgive him for the matricide.

Answer: Admiral Zhao

Captain, and then Admiral, Zhao serves as an antagonist both to Aang and to Zuko throughout Season One. He meets his fate at the end of the season when he is sucked into the ocean by the vengeful spirit that he had slain earlier in the same episode after it was revived by Princess Yue, who lost her own life in the process. Long Feng is the crooked leader of the Earth Kingdom's Dai Li, a secret organization much like the Illuminati. Toph Bei Fong is one of the story's main characters who shows up a short ways into Season Two. Mai is Zuko's crush in the Fire Nation.

Answer: Gran Gran

"Gran Gran" used to be a North Poler, but ran away to the South Pole to avoid marrying the North Pole's resident waterbending master. All this is learned from the mouth of the master himself, Master Pakku, at the end of Book One.

Answer: A meteor from space

A meteor exited space and crashed into the earth, setting the surrounding area alight with fire. After the Avatar gang, minus Sokka, extinguishes the blaze, the team finds Sokka a swordsmanship teacher to alleviate his feelings of inadequacy. When presented with the opportunity to forge his own sword, Sokka shuns the typical steel bars with which his master, Pian Dao, presents him and takes him to the meteor.

Answer: The Ember Island Players

After witnessing the Ember Island Players butcher the play about Aang and the gang and hearing Zuko complain about their annual sacrilegious rendition of "Love Amongst the Dragons", I can't say that I'll be spending any currency of any kind on tickets to their flops.
