Will Young won the first ever "Pop Idols", held in the UK. The runner up was Gareth Gates. Will has released a CD called "Friday's Child".

Gay Sr. responded by shooting his son to death - using a gun that Marvin himself had given him four months earlier. What a loss to the world of music! Some of my favourite songs of Marvin's include "Heard It Through The Grapevine", and "You Are Everything" with Diana Ross.

I actually always thought that this was a song by George Michael (as a solo artist), but it's credited on Wham's final album/CD, as "George Michael, featuring Wham". This is my all time favourite song.

Ashanti Douglas was born in 1980 in Glen Cove, Long Island, New York into a musical family. This is my favourite song of hers.

Robbie Williams was a member of a boy band called "Take That". When the group split up, Robbie initially spent his time partying. He eventually embarked on a very successful solo career. "Escapology" was his fifth CD.

Starting in the early seventies and throughout the eighties, Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon have written hit after hit. Queen has over 51 hit songs to their credit. Sadly, Freddie Mercury died in 1991 of complications due to AIDS. Queen, in my opinion, is the greatest rock group ever.

Some of their other hits are "We Will Rock You" and "Another One Bites The Dust".
