Answer: Mike Schmidt

Mike was a career Phillie from 1972-1989. In 1980, his bat of 48 home runs along with Cy Young winner Steve Carlton's record of 24-9, helped Philadelphia past the Royals in the World Series.
2. This shortstop for the Chicago Cubs won consecutive MVP awards in the late 1950s. In those two seasons, he combined for 92 home runs. Who was this that wore the number 14?

Answer: Ernie Banks

Ernie was known as "Mr. Cub", and played his 19-season career in Chicago. He won the awards over Willie Mays and Eddie Mathews, respectively. Mr. Banks was a Hall of Fame induction in 1977.
3. I was a New York Yankee catcher. In the 1950s, I was in the top five voting an amazing seven times for the MVP from 1950-1956, and took the award three times in that span. My number 8 is in the Hall of Fame. Who am I?

Answer: Yogi Berra

Yogi's MVP decade was 1950 finishing third, and winning his first in 1951. Then fourth in 1952 and runner-up in 1953. His second MVP came in 1954 over the Indians' Larry Doby. 1955 won another MVP for Yogi, then he was runner-up again in 1956.
4. I was a Dodger catcher and won three MVPs in the 1950s. An accident curtailed my career in 1957. Who am I?

Answer: Roy Campanella

Roy's MVPs came in 1951, 1953, and 1955. Campanella was the second African-American player to win the MVP, the first being Jackie Robinson. Roy was inducted into the hall in 1969.

Answer: Washington Senators

Johnson, nicknamed "The Big Train", played all his 21 seasons with the Senators. Ironically, both his MVP awards were won over runner-ups and also Black Sox players from the 1919 Chicago White Sox.
6. I won two MVP awards in my career, and did it with one in each league. I won it with the Reds, then won it as an Oriole. Who am I?

Answer: Frank Robinson

Frank won his first in 1961 with Cincinnati, then the Reds traded him before the 1966 season to Baltimore. Frank, then not only won the MVP in 1966, but hit for the Triple Crown also. If that weren't enough, he was also the World Series MVP for the Orioles' win over the Dodgers in the same season.

Answer: Joe DiMaggio

Gehrig's career began in 1923, Mantle in 1951, and Maris in 1957. 1939s MVP season for Joe prevented Boston's Jimmie Foxx from becoming the first player in history to win four season MVPs. 1941 and 1947 saw the great Ted Williams take a backseat both times to DiMaggio also. Joe was inducted in 1955, and died decades later in 1999 at the age of 84.
8. Barry Bonds won seven season MVPs in his career. He won five with the San Francisco Giants, and two with which other team?

Answer: Pittsburgh Pirates

Bonds began his career in 1986 with the Pirates, then won consecutive MVPs with them in 1990 and 1992. After signing as a free agent with the Giants after the 1992 season, Barry won his third MVP in 1993. He then won four consecutive from 2001-2004.
9. I won two season MVPs in my career. My first MVP came when my teammate hit 60 home runs in a season. Who am I?

Answer: Lou Gehrig

The others didn't have a teammate hit 60 home runs. Gehrig's career spanned from 1923-1939 until the illness put the brakes on his career. In 1927, Babe Ruth hit 60 home runs for their Yankees along with Gehrig's 47. Lou's second MVP came after his 1934 Triple Crown season, in 1936, winning the award over Luke Appling of the White Sox.

Answer: Stan Musial

The others listed were never Cardinals. 1943 saw Stan's first MVP, and he won it over teammate Walker Cooper. 1946 and 1948 brought two more MVPs to Stan's trophy cabinet, including three World Series victories in four trips. He was the MVP runner-up for three consecutive seasons from 1949-1951.
