Slade are an English band that was formed in Wolverhampton in 1964. The most successful Slade line-up was Noddy Holder - lead vocals, rhythm guitar; Dave Hill - lead guitar, backing vocals; Jim Lea - bass, backing vocals; and Don Powell - drums.

In 1992 Holder and Lea had left the band. Slade II was formed in 1992 with Hill and Powell, but the band never had the impact of the original line-up.
