Subject: Supernatural corner

After losing the myth, legend or fact forum I thought it would be nice to have a supernatural experiences and questions thread here, I'm sure there's still plenty of interest in it.

I do, elusive.

My parents bought a house in a development that was almost completely built. When they first wanted to buy a house there, they were told, sorry none are available. Then one suddenly became available & their two oldest children moved in.

The front door opened onto a hallway that had a short, five step staircase to the right. The living room was to the left. In the wall dividing the living room from the hallway, there was an open bookcase from the ceiling halfway down. We could see the entire hallway. Down the hallway on the right, the first door led to the basement with a closet next to it. Continuing into the kitchen, the door to the backyard was at the back wall and to the right of the entrance from the hallway. We were the only house on the block with that configuration.

One night years later, after several more children, including me, had been added to the family, several members were watching TV on a summer evening with the front door open. It was already dark outside. My mother & younger brother were in the kitchen.

A semi-opaque, white, thin oval shape about as tall as an adult male, floated in the front screen door and paused briefly in front of the staircase. It then went to the basement door and seemed to disappear halfway thru the door. It then floated into the kitchen and disappeared thru the window in the middle of the room.

The next day, we were chattering about it at breakfast and my father was there. He & my mother looked at each other & he cleared his throat. He told us kids he had something to show us. He went to the attic and retrieved the original blueprints for the house.

Originally, the basement door was supposed to be where the hallway closet was & the closet door was supposed to lead to the basement. The outside door from the kitchen was supposed to be in the middle of the room, where our window was. That's how the other houses on the block were set up.

While the house was under construction and almost finished, the father of that family had come to the house for some reason. He was standing where the basement doorway was to be when part of the wall and ceiling collapsed on him. The workers got him outside thru the back door. He died soon afterwards.

The family did *not* want the house then. That's why it was offered to my parents, after a few changes in the floor plan.

Then there's the story of the ghost of an ex-boyfriend's grandmother ...

Wow, that's quite a story, MiraJane! I believe in ghosts but have yet to see one.

Supernatural really explains what is real but not yet known by science as they can't find ways to access or measure it. So currently it relies on personal experience and anecdotes, which is nearly all secondary evidence so there is no certainty except for those who experienced it. Then they need to go through the usual evidential/scientific process to whittle out all the natural explanations, but when you do it still leaves you with a lot of unexplainable probably genuine material. Regardless of the dubious claims there are enough good ones to point to an underlying reality, each story becomes more real when compared to many similar others which corroborate them.

I, too, believe in ghosts (not that I've met any yet) but I did once have a dream in which I met someone whom I believe was trying to send me a message.

It turns out the dream was even better, I just found my notes, it was Vasterthorp in Sweden, Vasterport is a cake shop there, but Vastertorp is indeed a real place, in Sweden, a suburb of Stockholm. Probably not where I visited in the dream as that was a seaside resort, but (and nowhere near the first time) I've been given a place that really exists which is both obscure and unique. If you keep getting them (years ago I got Spey Castle which is in Germany) among others, it can't really be explained through normal means.

OK, so we've established that some of us believe in ghosts. Now on to something else. Hands up who believes in Nessie?

The principle of cryptozoology is based on rarity, meaning not all species exist in such numbers as to be encountered very frequently. But anything based on existing species can't be counted out as they found coelacanths among others, but the real cryptozoology is stories of other human like beings like Bigfoot hiding among us. Those are far less likely as would mean a major branch of evolution we were totally unaware of. Plus they are intelligent enough to stay hidden which makes it even harder to find out.

I'd think all large mammalian species would have been discovered by now. As for Nessie, I'm not sure. There are a lot of things underwater that haven't been found yet. Here's an interesting story:

Why have your entries got a rectangle around them, Satguru?

I have seen a ghost before & have had numerous paranormal experiences starting when I was about 4 years old. We lived in a house that had some very strange goings on & quite a few weird things happened to me there. That is when I realized that unexplained things that happen in our world all the time.

Oops, I sometimes forget to check my threads (no emails unlike the forums), the rectangle means it's the person who made the thread.

My life is still surrounded by guidance and synchronicity, as is many of that of people I know, and the more you share it the more you discover how much it happens. I'm having more lessons myself and learning about the quantum theory behind it all which should explain everything in terms of science.

One doesn't talk about it for being thought a liar or a bit strange. But having lived in a house for five years that was also occupied by the ghost of an old lady I have learnt not to pooh-pooh things I don't understand. All I can say is she did not do us any harm and didn't take up much room.

Mommakat: EXACTLY! I don't tell too many people about the things that have happened to me because a lot of people are skeptics & don't believe in that stuff. Ghosts are one of those things that people won't believe in until it happens to them. It just seems so far fetched, like they just can't exist. However, I know they do because so much has happened to me during my lifetime. I'm a perfectly sane & rational person so I don't doubt my senses or judgment at all. I don't need to convince anyone of my experiences but it's still not something that I freely discuss! I feel it's highly personal so I usually don't go into specific detail.

I've had more lessons and private meetings. The large picture is getting clearer. Firstly, whatever happens in your life, good or bad, ask what you are able to learn from it. It seems everything is given as a lesson or new experience, and until we learn each one it will keep happening over and over again until we do. But when you learn how to read it you'll figure out the purpose and get through a lot more easily.

It is based in quantum physics, no time or space outside these dimensions, and we are the currently visible and tangible part of the 99% or so of material which isn't. It makes sense something else is going on there (think of dark matter) and therefore once you see your life as a university course where every event is designed for you it will start to make sense. It is clear for me and the people in my group, the more we become aware the faster our progress will be.

We know more about the surface of the moon than we do about our oceans and it's been proved that supposedly-extinct animals can still be in existence. The Coelacanth is a perfect example, a fish that was thought to have gone extinct alongside the dinosaurs, that is, until a live one was caught by fishermen off the coast of South Africa in December 1938. So for all we know, Plesiosaurs, Mosasaurs and the giant shark Megalodon might still be with us.

I think we must have ghosts in our house because often when I ask who is responsible for a broken, missing or damaged object the answer from everyone is "not me". Lol.

I've been studying quantum spiritual science some time now, ie the overlap between long held knowledge of the supernatural and newly discovered phenomena in quantum science which proves underlying Newtonian physics is non-Newtonian physics, therefore meaning Newtonian is second to the wider quantum field.

This basically means everything we take for granted- time, space, distance and randomness are anything but, and the double slit experiment (look it up) proves our observation affects the result of molecular physics directly. Then everything I've been searching for most of my life makes perfect sense, and explains how the odd glimpse of the veil slipping mean that is what is beyond it all the time. It also means there is an intelligent life outside our own three dimensions which is both aware of us and capable of thought transfer, telepathy, to give us ideas we think are our own but often solve problems or provide talents we had no information to find directly.

Once you look at life as no longer being random, different to how we all thought it was, arranged by a scriptwriter and designed for every experience to teach us something new we read it differently, and once we see it happening and discover what we saw as an interruption was diverting us to deal with something we needed to learn to deal with, or take us somewhere we couldn't have found otherwise, and it happens over and over again and other people see it as well you will realise the world is far more than we thought.

I haven't noticed much intelligent life inside our own three dimensions. Maybe we could start the search there.

It's not possible for Earth to be the only planet with intelligent life. There are billions of planets in the universe. Even if it's not in my lifetime, I'm sure that one day we'll find another planet with intelligent life.
