Subject: Supernatural corner

After losing the myth, legend or fact forum I thought it would be nice to have a supernatural experiences and questions thread here, I'm sure there's still plenty of interest in it.

No one here is trying to do anything cruel or sinister to you.
I think it's just best to create your own profile and make it your own. Your dad reached level 83, which likely took him a long time to achieve. You're adding points to an account that should not be active.
I understand wanting to carry on his legacy, but you can certainly do that under your own name. People want to hear his stories, and there is no one stopping you from doing that.
Please, consider making your own account and making it your own.

yesimtbird "Michelle" or "Dad" can and should open a new account with the name yesimtbirdtwo....yesimtbird2....yesimtbirdtoo....yesimtbirdII I think these are good options. Compromise is good, arguing not so good. :)

yesimtbird evidently doesn't wish to compromise. I find that rather odd. Hmm....I made some excellent suggestions that make perfect sense.

Here is my super natural story. When hubby and I were first married, we had some friends, Gary and Michelle, that we liked to hang out with. One day Gary came over our house in his brand new decked out truck. Michelle was following in her little red Mustang. We all decided to head to Gary's for the evening. Hubby and Gary in the truck, me and Michelle in her Mustang. As we headed out to get on the highway Gary and hubby zipped around us to get to the stop light ahead of us. Michelle and I were supposed to be there first. Gary later said he just had a sudden urge to be at the light first. When the light turned green Gary and my hubby proceeded to go through the intersection. Right before our eyes Gary and my husband were broadsided by a drunk driver who blew the light at more than 60 mph. The truck went airborne and spun three complete rotations. Against all odds my husband and Gary walked away with no injuries. Pieces of that truck were scattered everywhere. We were lucky enough to have had an off duty police officer as a witness. The officer said he saw Gary pass us and thought he was being reckless, but that his reckless move probably saved Michelle and me from major injuries or even death. It was so unnerving to realize that fate can be real. Gary's truck was completely destroyed....except for the radio which was playing Queens "Another one Bites the Dust". True story.

So I take it they caught the driver who blew through the light? I wonder what kind of punishment he got?

Wow! Shivers, thank you for sharing! Sometimes when I hear things like that... I rule out coincidences.

I do hope that drunk driver was punished. If destroying a truck and almost killing two people didn't sober them up seemingly nothing would.

It was a she. We were lucky enough to have an off duty police officer witness the accident. She had no choice, she had to plead guilty. Gary ended up getting another new truck a few weeks later.

Hi,
It's Michelle. I'm following in my dad's footsteps and yes I have seen him.

Hi, Michelle. It's good to see you as yourself.

If you like to share your experience seeing your dad, many of us would be interested. If not, that's fine. Do you feel comforted by the contact?

I live in the same house that I lived in as a youth. My mother passed away in 1998, my father in 1986. Late at night, in my house, I hear my mother humming in the long hallway that connects all 3 bedrooms. When I open the door, of the computer/tv room, that used to be a bedroom, I half expect to see my mom, but so far, I haven't.

Our TV changed channels by itself last night, right as one of my favourite movies was about to begin. I hadn't known it was showing, but I caught it right from the start thanks to whatever made the TV flip out. Oh, and nobody accidentally sat on the remote, or anything, it was up out of the way next to my seat. With eight dogs, you get into the habit of putting everything out of reach.
(The movie was Unbreakable, in case anyone was wondering).

This morning my front door opened on its own. It's the kind that locks automatically when you close it; you can only open it from the inside by pushing down a lever and turning the handle (or from the outside with a key). I think one of our poltergeists might have woken up......

3D physics is correct relating to 3D, but quantum physics works at all dimensions and is the foundation of it. Ultimately the rule is anything's possible. The observer effect already proves our awareness can affect our environment, and if collective thought controls it then imagine many higher beings watching our lives and making things happen from behind the scenes. If it happens once you can write it off as a coincidence. If it keeps on happening it becomes normal whether or not you understand how it works, but it all does. Keep an open mind and life will start to change.

Where I used to work, there were three different ghosts. I was told about them shortly after I started there, and soon saw and experienced things for myself. The main one, the most active one, was referred to as "The Badman", although he never did anything particularly bad. I saw him a couple of times, and he was a youngish man wearing a frilly white shirt, almost your typical storybook ghost. Anyway, one day when some of the staff were telling me about things they'd heard or seen Badman do, I asked why they called him that, and they said because ghosts are mean and scary. I disagreed, and said maybe he was just misunderstood. Right then, the song on the radio cut out mid-play and was replaced by 'Behind Blue Eyes', which, if you don't know the lyrics, goes "Nobody knows what it's like, to be the bad man, to be the sad man, behind blue eyes....."
I think he was agreeing with me.

Woooooooowwwwww! That is fascinating to me! Now, what are the odds that that would happen?
What are the odds that where you worked happened to be haunted by ghosts, one of whom was referred to as “The Badman”? And what are the odds that song would play—especially since it cut into one that was already playing?
Good for you for suggesting the ghost was just misunderstood. I too don’t think all ghosts are evil.
I’ve been watching a lot of “scary videos” on Youtube, and so many of them seem to be manufactured. As in, someone manipulated the video/picture shown. And that’s just sad, people trying to get attention. It’s made me too skeptical, perhaps.
Stories like Jo’s—coming from sane, reliable sources—give me shivers in the best kind of way!

I'm actually a massive skeptic - I always, always search thoroughly for other explanations before just crying "ghost!!" whether it's my own experience, someone else's, or a video/EVP. I am certain that all of the ghosthunting genre of TV shows are faked, for instance, and the problem with that kind of thing is that it makes people believe that none of it is true. I hate when people make up stories for attention, or for a 'joke', or to get 'likes' and subscribers. It's not my job to convince anybody that ghosts really do exist, and I'm fine with everyone believing whatever they want to believe, but I know what I see and experience, and if people are interested, I'm happy to talk about it. I can promise wholeheartedly that I'll never lie, exaggerate, or mislead. There's no need, I've got tons of genuine supernatural stories!

A lot of those hunting ghost shows have given ghosts a bad name. My sisters used to watch them and get scared, but they were all so similar.
“Did you just hear that?!?”
“Something just touched me, I swear!”
“Wait, did you hear that?”
“Guys, I heard something!”

I admire your stance on all of this, Jo. You speak as someone not begging for attention, rather as someone with experience and knowledge who is willing to share their stories. And I thank you for that!
