Subject: Supernatural corner

After losing the myth, legend or fact forum I thought it would be nice to have a supernatural experiences and questions thread here, I'm sure there's still plenty of interest in it.

Yeah, and then there's the scary, unpredictable Dallas Cowboys. :-)

Maybe they could start up a supernatural league with teams like the Ghosts and the Monsters and the Vampires and all that, and each week would be just like Halloween as far as all the fans dressing up in that kind of theme. The SFL. :-)

Sorry to hear that, Michelle. But I think using his name is a really bad idea. You should probably create one of your own, don't you think?

I've never heard of someone taking over someone else's account, and all the badges and points they've acquired over the years. It really doesn't seem right, or fair.

I'm sure you'll do the right thing.

I have a story I want to share but I need to bug my sister about some details, because the story involves us as teenagers. Will return!

Omg. I don't know about the rest of you groovy cats and chicks, but I have heard a few things about Michigan teenagers. Just clowning around, jen. I'm all ears!

The weirdest thing happened a couple of days ago..... I texted my husband, The Viking, at work to ask him to stop by the store on his way home and pick up a particular food item I needed to make dinner. No details, as I knew he'd know what exact brand and size I wanted. He got it, and dinner was good.
The next morning when he got to work and opened up his locker, which he padlocks and has the only key for, there was that exact same item, sitting right at the front. He has no idea where it might have come from or how it got there.
I'm sure it just sounds like a practical joke, but nobody else knew what I'd asked him for, so if it's a coincidence, it's a darn big one.

I didn't even notice your last post when I made my last one, Jo. That's really creepy about the locker item. Come up with any possible explanations yet?

Nope. Straight off, I asked him if he'd told anyone I'd asked him to get it for me, but he swears he didn't. We have no idea where it came from.

I’d like to share a random urban legend from my hometown.
There is a street not far from where I lived as a kid named OP Avenue. It is a very narrow road and the trees hang over the road seemingly every day of the year, making it a dark road.
An older couple died in their homes when I was a teenager. But I learned that they’d actually been murdered. That house was up for sale for a very long time after that. The victims’ daughter found their bodies a few days after the murder occurred. They never found the murderer. Kids at school claimed they saw their ghosts at night… allegedly. The road, it was concluded, was haunted.
So, the legend goes that if you drive down OP Avenue at night with the windows rolled down, you can hear the screaming victims.
Being young, stupid, and teenagers, a few friends of mine tried it. We had all the windows down, even though it was freezing. Some people joked around, but I stayed silent, listening.
It was a little before one in the morning and we eventually all listened as we drove down the road. We all heard a chainsaw. We didn’t see any light anywhere, no reason for anyone to be awake—and using a chainsaw—that late at night. It was one of those instances where you see someone immediately go from smiling to frowning. No explanation.
This is why I believe most people on here. Truth is stranger than fiction sometimes.

Haha, thanks, sadwings :p Sadly, you ain’t kidding when it comes to Michigan teenagers!

Jo, that is definitely weird! In my opinion, there are too many coincidences in that story to call what happened merely a coincidence. Creepy!

If you like discussing the unexplained or supernatural, I know of a forum that focuses on this topic. ProBoards is a forum-hosting website that I'm a member of. One of the forums I frequently visit is "The Unexplained Supernatural Discussion Forum". It's pretty quiet, though. With only 4 members, there aren't many people to talk to. Registration is free, so if anyone's interested in joining, you're more than welcome to. We could really use a few more members.

On "The Unexplained Supernatural Discussion Forum" you can talk about all kinds of supernatural topics. You can talk about aliens, ghosts, mermaids, bigfoot, Nessie, vampires and werewolves. There's also a member hangout where you can talk about your hobbies and other things that interest you.
