OK, so these people ran by and some into my restaurant. We heard from them that some guy around the corner at Jeans West had come in with a gun. He was an es mall guard that got fired for being drunk on the job.Was reported by the manager of Jeans West. He came in to kill the manager. Reply #244. Jun 19 18, 12:13 AM |

A few minutes later I saw cops and even SWAT team in the mall and a few came in too my restaurant. We were al told to get down and couldn't leave as we might be in the line of his fire.I told the cops we had a back hall that leads to the tunnels down below where deliveries come in. He snt me to that hall and had me direct a lot of people and most of our cute waitresses out through then tunnels. In that hallway were several doors to other stores but I did not know which was which. Turned out the door I was standing by directing people to the stairs belonged to Jeans West. The gunman heard the noise and came to that door. Cops yelled to me down the hall and just said "RUN". I tried to run back to the restaurant to me with my mom and sister but the gunman fired through the door I was running from. One bullet got me in the butt but as you can tell I lived Reply #245. OK, so I got a bullet in the butt. I managed to limp way back to the restaurant cause my mom and sister where there. A cop helped get the bullet out of me and patched me up. We were released a little while later though limping for me. I still went back the next few days cause as a kid I got sympathy from the cute waitresses. After closing I saw police or hospital people pulling carts out of the mall. I noticed that they were filled with clothes and could tell they were covered in blood. It took a few days for them to empty the store. BUT!!! when I saw them pulling the blood carries crates I saw a man standing behind them watching. I asked the cops and they said they never saw anyone. a few days later I went back down that same hall to go downstairs as I turned the corner I saw the same guy I saw in the mall !!!! I never saw him in life but I knew it was the guy I saw standing over the clothes. He as covered in blood around his head and I swear he said "I'm sorry" I limped back up the hall and I swear I hear Kay's voice saying 49. Oh, my god, I can't believe you had to go through this nightmare, and at such a young age! Good job you had those pretty waitresses to distract you. You were such a hero, getting all of those people out to safety and getting shot yourself in the process. And even then, you didn't run away down the tunnels, you went back for your family. Back again but before I get to the next one in order I have to go back a bit because I had told my sister I was writing about these things and she reminded me of something that happened also back when I was 7. (before Kay died) It was Christmas day, my family had gotten up early and opened our presents. I got a really cool Spiderman car and since Spiderman was and is my favorite super-hero it immediately became my favorite toy. I put my initials on the bottom of it so people would know it's mine. After opening gifts we were all supposed to get ready for church. I was in my room and my parents were in theirs next door. I could hear them arguing and I didn't like it so I just decided to play with my car. After a few minutes my dad came into my room still mad and got even angrier seeing I was playing instead of getting ready for church. While yelling at me to get dressed he took my new car and threw it against the wall and broke it So completely in tears I got dressed and sat on my bed staring at the pieces of my car on the floor. My sister came in and saw me crying and I just pointed at my toy. She said we'll try to fix it after church and we closed my door and went outside were everybody else was waiting in the car so her and I were the last ones out the door. I stayed quiet all through church and breakfast at a restaurant afterwards but tearing were streaming down my cheeks the whole time. We got back home and she went with me to my room. We opened the door and there sitting on my bed was brand new Spiderman toy car in perfect condition. Both of us confused I walked over and picked it up and there written in my own 7yr kid scribbled writing were my initials!! Nobody was in the house in between my sister and I as we were the last ones out the door and the first ones back in and nobody else had keys that wasn't with us the whole time. Looking back on it years later all I could think was, Anita. Ok, that's the end of 7 as far as I remember and I've told about the mall gunman at 14 so next up is 21 and Kay is back. Reply #253. David, forgive my absence! I could see your notes in my FT Mail, but I couldn't respond to them. I just spend 30 Days In The Hole. I would love to hear more of your stories, and I know Jo would, as well! I am SO SORRY. It just about killed me to log in here, be able to play, but not be able to post anywhere, to include my Mail, our team MB, or Forums.
