Subject: Nasty goes to The Match

This is my new blog about all things sports.

Warning to any North American readers expecting any of your sports to be featured. They will not. I do not watch Baseball, Basketball, Ice Hockey or American Football.

I am a huge sports fan though. The most important being football, or soccer to those in North America, in particular the team I have supported since I was a boy. Huddersfield Town.

What a pity Eden Hazard will be leaving Chelsea it seems. He seems to be their best player.

The EPL is getting to be just like MLB or the NFL, the players are just rented for a couple of seasons until that lucrative contract expires, then it's on to another renter.

I watched the Chelsea v Arsenal match. Nearly turned over to another programme at half time but glad I stayed with it. Yes shame Hazard going. I hope the current manager stays. He hasnt done a bad job this year for all the critism of him. I was not supporting either of the two teams purely neutral.

Wow, just got back from 9 days away with no Internet save for a couple of days. Just learned of the result. I thought for sure Arsenal would do everything in their power to win that trophy since they had more than just the trophy riding on it. They had participation in next years Champions league at stake.

So kudos to Chelsea for turning them over despite that.

Tomorrow I think that Tottenham will surprise all and win the Champions League. I think Klopp will remain trophyless with Liverpool for another year. I will probably be wrong! But that's my guess anyway.

It has to be said that this years finalists have made a mockery of the very title of the competition though. Champions league!? Champions of what? Neither team has been champions of England for at least 30+ years!

Well your prediction was wrong and we won.
It was not the best of matches but well deserved and I am happy.

Yes, very well deserved for Liverpool. Good that they won something after such a good year. My predictions are rarely correct! I was sure that Barcelona would score at Anfield and put the semi final beyond Liverpool but they didn't and it wasn't.

I watched France vs Korea yesterday, France played well and I think they'll be tough to stop on home soil.

Missed the games today but seen highlights.

Looking forward to the rest of the competition!

England v Scotland was a good match, however, I though a lot of fouls went uncalled.

Netherlands and sweden both left it late to get their wins against stubborn opposition, at least that's what I've read. Was at work while those two were going on.

Just watched USA dismantle Thailand. I know Thailand were desperately poor but some of the finishing in that second half was superb.
