Godwit, did you watch Snowpiercer on Sunday? Did anyone watch it? If so, what did you think of it? Reply #142. May 19 20, 11:05 PM |

I didn't get a chance to watch it. I was thinking of watching from the On Demand option. The ads for the 2d episode are showing now. I'll probably be able to keep up with the episodes by the ads. Reply #144. May 20 20, 5:38 PM |

lol, that's funny MiraJane. Because I suppose it will work. I'm racing through Bosch, which is so rewarding and excellent. Reply #145. May 21 20, 10:32 AM |

I'm curious if anyone has started seeing references to Corvid-19 or social distancing, in the shows and movies? I know comedians are talking a lot about it. But, the idea of hearing it mentioned on NCIS New Orleans or Bosch or Outlander--that will be strange. Reply #146. May 21 20, 10:56 AM |

Well not too much yet. Many of the show's production has been put on hold due to the need for social distancing. Reply #147. May 21 20, 11:29 AM |

I have a list of things I want to watch on Netflix and Prime. I try to make each season last a week. Right now I'm watching season three of "Cougar Town" on Prime. Reply #148. May 21 20, 3:01 PM |

Saw five minutes of the first episode of Snowpiercer. It was in the middle of the episode. Dang, they repeat plot lines often! I knew what had happened in the firt hour. I knew what was being planned for the next few episodes. The overall plan at least. I guess we have to watch for the details of the Have Nots overthrow of the Haves and why it will all be for naught in the end; the end of the series I mean. Anyone else watch it yet? Reply #151. I so agree, FatherSteve. I was thinking to post a word about the baking show, but was lost amidst the names and series, confused about baking show versus ... Many thanks Mixie. Is there a purpose to changing up the name and such like that? Cougar Town appears to be a sitcom about a divorcee of 40 and her friends. A sort of Sex and the City for the 40-somethings? MiraJane: well now we MUST watch Snowpiercer. Despite the weird name. I mean. Does anyone "pierce" snow? It's like Cloudbanger or Teawringer. Ah well. I'm sure it's a Cliffeater. Reply #153. Hi Godwit. Apparently the name had to change in the USA because the Pilsbury Company have trademarked 'Bake Off' Reply #154. May 22 20, 3:00 AM |

Soon I'll post what I find about the new shows for the summer season. Let us know if you find something good. They say it will be November when we see the first real TV and movie shortage. Other than sports, which is already a terrible dearth for the fans. I heard a wonderful radio show this morning about how some small towns pulled together a football game a month after hurricane Katrina blew away all their homes. The kids needed a game, and everyone made it happen. But now--what? Reply #157. May 23 20, 11:06 AM |

I've been watching the Korean Baseball League. Good baseball, but piped in fan noise, and cardboard cutouts for fans in the stands. Reply #158. May 23 20, 11:23 AM |
