Curious, what are you watching while the world spins around us?

What's your favorite thing about it? Does it help you get through?

All of the Fargo tv seasons were good. Season one of True Detective was awesome too. Carnival on HBO was great. Legion, American Gods, Warehouse 13 and the Americans about cold war spy stuff was the best of all of them.

Was season 1 True Detective Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson? If so I did see that. Excellent. A bit over the top weird too. I worried season 2 might be too dark.

Like that excellent show Billy Bob Thornton does, Goliath. Season 1 fantastic. Season 2, getting strange.

I forgot all about The Americans.

I used to have a wonderful movies journal book designed to track recommendations and what one has seen and such. I need that again. What with all the complicated choices and ability to binge. I'm reminded now that I have started or seen bits of various things I forgot all about.

How about Billions. I'm thinking Paul Giamatti is one of our least appreciated dynamite actors. Now that Bob Odenkirk is finally having his day. Still, I stopped watching Billions. And the Handmaid's Tale. Homeland. Killing Eve. The Affair. They were all fine shows season 1 or 2...

Killing Eve was excellent. Have lost track of the plot since I've been working so much lately. But Sandra Oh is great in it.

Season 1 of True Detective was the one you saw with Woody and Matthew. Became surreal at the end which I'm always up for.

First few seasons of True Blood were okay also.

Been really liking "The Terror" on AMC. First season was about "The Terror" and "Erebus" the real ships looking for the Northwest Passage. But they encounter supernatural forces of course.

Second season was Japanese internment camps of WWII. And ghosts. Was just as good and 1st season.

Oh and the Alienist on TNT with Dakota Fanning was engaging.

I like "The Terror" better knowing it has supernatural aspects. I thought just freezing and starving to death was terror enough for the name. I like it if they stick to some historical facts, and add in monsters or whatever. Will check it out

Watch it with the heat turned up and a blanket. They make you feel the cold in that one.

One more episode of Bosch and that's it. What an excellent show.

I tried "Eureka" TV series, it shows 6 seasons, Colin Ferguson.

Anyone a fan? I saw episode 1 and 2 ...I like Colin and other actors but the story seems just sad. Could be wrong.

I watched a Music Documentary the other night called Laurel Canyon. It was about all the musicians back in the 60s that lived and jammed in the area of Los Angeles called Laurel Canyon. Joni Mitchell, Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, The Doors, Buffalo Springfield, The Beach Boys, The Hollies, and more were featured. The film contained some very candid footage. I highly recommend it.

I agree about "Laurel Canyon," terraorca. There is another documentary called "Echo in the Canyon" that covers a little bit of the same time period. Inexplicably (to me), the "Echo" one is rated higher than "Laurel Canyon" on both IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes. I thought Echo really suffered by having Jakob ("He's NOT Bob") Dylan and others doing a lot of the songs of the period. I don't know much about music royalties and film-making, but would it be more expensive to play the originals or have Jakob and friends singing their copies?

"...would it be more expensive to play the originals or have Jakob and friends singing their copies?"

Interesting question. With originals there might a ton of expense tracking down permissions. One imagines Bob gave his son full permission to cover everything?

Both sound like good entertainment. The 60s were exciting days in music.

I was told to give "Outlander" a try. After watching S1, E1 I wasn't sure I wanted to continue. I am now at S2, E5 and enjoying it very much.
Lairds and Lords and Lassies, but not for the squeamish.

Oops, forgot: binge-watching "Shameless".
The great Bill Macy as the head of the most disfunctional family ever. Emme Rossum is amazing as the 20 year old "mother" of six. Hilarious.

I think Outlander is excellent. Although I never quite forgave her for falling in love back in time. Poldark is equally good.

Someone highly recommended the superhero movie, "Black Panther" today. Won 3 Oscars.

Here to look for something good to watch. Bosch is over until the next, and last, season.

There were supposed to be some new shows coming out in June.
