Curious, what are you watching while the world spins around us?

What's your favorite thing about it? Does it help you get through?

Oh dear. I am bereft. No more Gomorra!

Which might not be so bad but it had a catchy theme song and talk about an earworm! In Italian. Earworms are bad enough but in another language? When will it stop? ;D

You ran through 8 seasons already? Wow. Which means you listened to the theme song how many times? It may NEVER ever (ever) go away....

Wiki says "The Immortal" is a movie prequel-sequel to the show. So there's that.

And...you've done it again Flopsy! This show gets a 95% rating and is one of the "most watched" cable shows on Sky.

I wish they would stop with the prequel-sequel-unquel-dreamquel stuff. How can it be both a prequel and a sequel?

There are only 4 series so I feel only half as bad as you want me to be. ;)

There's supposed to be a fifth series in the works but I have no clue where they are with that - I wouldn't be surprised if the filming had been affected by various lockdowns. Anyway, I'll have to wait for the subtitles and then for it to get put on to a streaming service so I will spend the next two years or so climbing the walls in the corner while I search for the movie.

Doing prequels and sequels without a zombie apocalypse when half the characters have been killed off is an amazing trick. If you want to find out how they did it, search for the description of the movie but only if you don't mind spoilers. I don't mind them for things like this - by the time I find a subtitled version that's available online I'll have forgotten the details.

Oooh, how desperate am I? I found the movie on Prime but it's a "pay extra" one. I hate that. Paying a subscription and then coughing up more... especially when as a Brit I resent having to pay subscriptions in the first place. Although I'm happy to pay the BBC licence fee. A contradictory position I know but too bad.

Anyway, my computer is playing up, graphics card is going kaput and there are times I can barely see anything - I'm not paying extra for that!

hahaha so only half an ear-worm. Yes, I'm quite disappointed.

gosh the whole pay thing sounds complex. Like you I'm for "NO WAY" paying extra when I pay for a subscription. That's like saying I get the Sunday paper but I have to pay extra if I want the funnies with it.

You remember the "sunday paper"? Not you young un's that was before your time. I miss it. We can still get it, some places here. Still. For THIS movie. I say treat yourself.

Sorry about the card going. That sound ominous.

"Think I'll binge watch Harry tomorrow." Paul Mallon

I just started binging (is that how it's spelled; it looks like bing-ing, as if a cherry is involved) "Bosch" a few days ago. I'm now about 2/3 of the way through Season 2. I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would. I tried to watch it several months ago, and just couldn't get started. Titus Welliver just doesn't seem like Bosch to me. I liked him in "Deadwood," so I don't know what the problem is. I'm only slightly familiar with the books, so it wasn't like I had a mental image of the character.

Hey Paul. I think you are so right. But I think Bosch is not supposed to seem like Bosch. Ya know? He's supposed to be always slightly off key, somehow a square peg. He makes almost everyone uncomfortable, and he's not comfortable even in his own skin. That might be my favorite thing about him, that I can't truly LIKE him exactly.

Glad you tried the series again and find it enjoyable. I'm starting the new season 7 and am so happy to see all the characters after way too long.

grammerly.com said: Both binging and bingeing are acceptable, according to dictionaries. However, around 1980, retaining the E became distinctly more popular...

So Paul we can be binging or bingeing. :) Binge-view or Binge-Watch are "in" also.

I watched another good documentary last night, Sophie: A Murder in West Cork. A young French woman is murdered in rural County Cork, Ireland. Fascinating and quite astounding to be honest.

Geez you don't get shivers and put 4 locks on your doors at night after watching those True Crime documentaries?

Ha ha! No. My mind is boggled by the number of murders that are committed, by seemingly ordinary every day people, even children. I admit it can become a bit depressing and I will watch more light-hearted programs for a while.
